This team plays hard, it feels like the pieces are starting to fall into place as the kids mature. We've got two additional bigs coming in this next season. We really don't know a heck of a lot about them yet, one's played all of 16/18 games in high school due to injuries (but has apparently done well in club ball when healthy) and the other is in a foreign country. If they pan out early, along with continued development of KC (and hopefully Chol), this team could make a pretty good jump rather soon. We should be "larger" down under the basket in the coming years. At least we're not 3-28 again post of the day.

At least we're not 3-28 again post of the day. s%#thead post of the day. We've won 4 games in a pretty bad conference, but things are starting to fall into place after losing to Oregon again? What? I'd rather been an asshole than an idiot.

I wonder if Choi will ever be healthy. Seems like he has had injuries since age 15 or so. I like the future of Bilideau on the front line. His dad being an ex NHL player,he likely has that toughness ingrained in him. A portal or juco front line player would certainly add to the mix next year.

I'd rather been an asshole than an idiot. 3 wins last year is turning into at least 10 this year. I bet next year turns into at least 16, more after that, at which point this team will have come a long long way. I don't relish the losses, even the close ones, but I don't let myself so jaded I don't recognize improvement.

ee only shows up when we lose. Which, I will admit, has been too frequent in the last two seasons, even with our improvement this season.

If we can keep this core group together, these type of games can give the team great experience for next year. Sometimes you have to go through the fire to experience how to win these close games. I hate losses, but I can tolerate it if we're competitive. I knew this was a rebuilding year.

On a different note, considering the last two seasons and lack of "excitement" around the program of late, the crowd last night was fantastic. Students set a record for attendance and that was the loudest I've heard Gill since pre-COVID. That was a P5 atmosphere and the team benefited from it I felt like. Announced attendance was about 7,300 which was easily a season high as well. Hopefully that can start to become a norm again especially if these guys stick together and improve and get some momentum going into next season.

I have had it with moral victories and wait til next year. We should expect more and demand more. An 11th place finish IS NOT ok. It is NEVER ok. Thankfully Cal really sucks. Maybe the athletic department should have a parade through the campus celebrating the "achievement".

Maybe the athletic department should have a parade through the campus celebrating the "achievement". Oregon State has the 10th-largest budget in the Pac-12. A logical and rational person would expect Oregon State to finish about 10th in basketball every year. With the youngest team in Power Five, a logical and rational person wouldn't expect or demand an above average result. In fact, you would probably expect a below average result. Everything is ok, if it leads to bigger and better things. If you think that everything is hunky dory, and what you seeing is all that you can demand or expect, you have a screw less. But, if you are not excited by aspects of the team, I would say that you are either too jaded or not paying enough attention.

Reading your comments, you'd think we had an elite MBB team and just recently, the bottom's fallen out. Look at what ever metric you want, recruiting, budget/money spent, facilities, university location, win/loss records, NCAA wins, etc. I don't understand what you think you've been watching for the last 40 years w OSU MBB. We've had 1 player selected in the NBA draft since 1998. In 2021, we won our first NCAA tournament game in 40 years. From 1991 thru 2013, we had 2 winning seasons. I don't like repeating this stuff, but I think some people are in denial.
