TVO 4 pts, 4 TOs, 3 asst, 1 stl, 1 blk. Not sure how many minutes. What’s up? I'm probably biased because TVO is still my favorite player but I have to believe it's a combo of her thinking she has to carry the team on her back (which we know she doesn't but she probably feels like as one of the veterans she needs to) and she's injured. I am convinced she is playing through some sort of injury. I wouldn't give up on her just yet.

Doesn't TVO have an injury that is nagging her? I was thinking I read something to that effect on this board. Maybe I am just delusional like normal.

I think the TVO "issue" has become more mental than physical.

Yes, Rueck said early in the season that Talia has an injury and it won't get worse if she plays through it. She is supposed to get it taken care of after the season. That is all I've heard.

Did Rueck definitely say this or was it someone on the board who brought it up about a month ago? Rueck usually stays close to the vest on injuries.

Maybe one of TVO' s worst performances in an OSU uniform. If she's injured, she shouldn't be playing. If healthy, maybe some pine time would help reset her ' want it' meter.

I heard Rueck say it. And yes, it surprised me when he did.

One thing that SR may be trying unsuccessfully to "keep to the vest" is how really bad his coaching has been this year.
I would strongly encourage him to enter the transfer portal! (grin).
The only consistent things the team seems to be doing are (a) starting every game by getting in the hole 10-15 points and (b) managing to lose games by somewhat less than 10 points.
Go Beavs.

Well, I did like that he didn't mess with the Yeaney and four freshmen lineup until he had to sub in for Beers when she fouled out. You watch a team like Washington play and the difference in execution on offense was just vast until the fourth quarter. I also watched as much as I could of Arizona-Utah and Stanford-USC tonight. I'm not saying any of those five teams are perfect but man, they just seem to be so much more well prepared, etc.

In regards to SR's coaching performance this year it appears that "he is just mailing it in" as the phrase goes.

So a lot of people on this board got their wish...the freshmen played big minutes (except for Martha). Hansford played 33 minutes and had 12 points on 4-of-8 from the field, all 3-pointers. She also had four rebounds, three fouls and a steal. Blacklock played 27 minutes and had 12 points on 5-of-7 from the field, 2-3 3-pointers. She also had two assists, one steal, one rebound, one foul and one turnover. Gardiner played 29 minutes and had 3 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Beers played 30 minutes and had 11 points and 13 rebounds. So the future looks bright as far as those players are concerned.

I don't know that he's mailing it in. I think he might have a lot of trouble bringing himself to think outside his box and adjust accordingly.

UW plays with a lot of decisiveness and are very disciplined. Very well coached. Yeah, but they don’t come close to comparing to our family environment.
