Timea getting 8 minutes. Some head scratchers in this one. But other than the Washington weekend this team has battled, just not yet quite there.

I don’t understand TG hardly playing again. if she’s hurt why is she playing at all? If she’s not, how is 8 minutes a good decision? Maybe she got hurt during the game? We don’t have enough offense to go w/o her and TVO…..obviously

I’m curious why Gardiner rode the bench?
USC got up 21 more shots plus won rebounds. Beavs got a thumping on the O boards again 16-5. Defense kept them in this one, but they just are so challenged generating offense. Tough loss…again.

They way we finish games, it’s like we’re tanking for Wembanyama.
At some point, at least the odds should start swinging in our favor.

They need bodies on the floor that can score the basketball.

Huh, USC players keep looking back at their coach for plays. Wonder if their fans are complaining about Gotlieb wanting to be the PG for her team? Not when they win.

Lily did start at least the first game this year, but this was a return to the starting lineup as Talia was down. Liked seeing some of these lineups today—- and Reagan finally got minutes and was back in the game—- 16 rebounds, 18 points. We still were behind on rebounds. I think having Timea in there a bit more might have helped with rebounds, but all over a good effort. If all stay for next year, we could be a dominant team.

I don't know about dominant, but certainly very good if the point guard situation improves significantly as well.

Good call at the end of regulation, but WHY is AJ shooting a 3 point shot when she could have had a layin or a short 6 footer by simply moving in when her defender left her to double team Beers? Good point. I suspect she didn't realize how open she would be and was just following the play as it was drawn up. More improv with more experience I hope. I doubt a three was the play drawn when it was not necessary. Once again you are showing your ignorance just to bad mouth Rueck.

She was having a bad game and so Rueck only gave her 7 minutes. So is that now credit to Rueck? Rueck did not pull Mannen in a few other recent games in which she did not play particularly well. Are we sure she's not hurt? I guess you aren't able to give Rueck any credit. Instead you just want to be a troll

It was just a persons question. The way I saw it, the play was for Beers to receive the ball and drive toward the basket for last shot. She was double teamed and got the ball to AJ (a great pass by the way) who may have had time to get a little closer but chose to shoot the 3. Almost made it too. Again, nobody is dissing Rueck.

Instead you just want to be a troll Mannen averages 24.4 minutes a game, third on the team. She played 32 minutes on Friday against UCLA. She suddenly plays 7 minutes in a game in which TVO is already out and I'm a troll for wondering if she's hurt (or maybe sick, whatever)? It could be a matchup thing because Rueck gave the most time to a taller backcourt lineup. I seriously doubt that Rueck suddenly decided that Mannen wasn't good enough to play more than 7 minutes.

Should change the name of Bernice's Place to the "Buzzkill Board". I thought for sure USC would outmuscle us like they did at Gill. I was impressed at our shooting percentage, number of threes attempted and that we took a scrappy team into deep water on their floor.

I too was impressed by the effort. In Pac12 the Beavs have lost 11 games with an average of minus 7 points and 5 (45%) of those losses have been by 4 or less against ranked teams. I think this is a good stat, given where they started this season, for a young team with plenty of talent. With continued experience and growth and the acquisition of a true point guard (after Yeaney leaves), I think they will get back on track next year and start to meet our very high expectations of them. Go Beavs.
