Who are gonna be the guys that make a big jump in production from last year? I'm hearing Casper is probably the guy. Need at least a couple of these guys to pop this year.
1. Micah McDowell 2. TJ Wheeler 3. Brady Kasper 4. AJ Lattery 5. Victor Quinn 6. Braden Boisvert
Anyone else I'm missing that you will think pop?

Good list.
Kasper is my personal #1 to break out.
Maybe add Tanner Smith? I think if he's starting from day one, he's going to get a lot more comfortable as the season goes on. Not like he was bad, but I think he'll show a lot more this year.
Quinn and Lattery should be great, and Boisvert is intriguing, so I'll add Ian Lawson. Everything I've heard is that he's been pretty dominant lately.

I would also add Dernedde, Guerra, Webber and Grewe as guys I hope to see improve and be impactful players this year. As far as I what I've heard for newcomers who will make an impact- Sellers, Cedillo, Turley, Macias, Kreig, Talt, Keljo, Larsen and Hutcheson. I also expect the return of Joey Mundt to be important

Not a jump because he wasn’t here last year but I’m expecting a big year from Ruben Cedillo. Dude hit rockets in fall ball, special bat to ball skills

Tanner Smith- arm is stronger, accuracy is still excellent and he will he 10+ bombs Dernedde- at the plate specifically Mundt- back and healthy.

I'll go with...in no particular order
Lattery.....he has lots of potential, and is being groomed to be in the weekend rotation looks like. Wheeler....hopefully he can fully move past the eye thing.....if so, he could be some pop in the lineup. Guerra....he's a physical specimen and started hot last season....cooled off. Looking for some more heat Hunter.....dirty stuff. He could be a weekend rotation guy. Smith.....lots of potential there....at the plate, and behind it. Next great OSU catcher?
Bonus player....Lawson. been hearing good things, and he flashed last season. He's got some dirty stuff, he just needs to put it all together.
I hope Kasper, and McDowell make huge strides....we need some OF's to step up and replace the best?? OF in OSU history

Ask me in 13 days when I get to see them in person. But Brady did hit the ball really hard in Bend last fall. And Cedillo looked like Mitch wanted to give him a real good look at LF/lead off.

Weird to say cause he's been a huge piece the last two years but I think it's going to be Garrett "Donkey" Forrester. The leadership has mostly graduated and he's an upperclassmen. I think the work he has put in turns to confidence and clutch performance after clutch performance. Not sure if his stats increase will be off the charts but his stats are already very good so small changes are big for game results.
When we need a man on base Donkey will deliver.
On the pitching side Lattery is going to step in like Ben did last year. Guys a serial killer on the mound and I'm pretty sure his stuff is going to be absolutely filthy after some work this off season.

He’s primed and ready to be the stud on the roster. I’m also anxious to see the new version of Bazzana.

I think that the performance of Lattery, especially as a probable weekend starter, is going to be a key factor in determining how the Beavs finish in the PAC-12. Can't wait for Surprise to begin finding out. Also looking forward to seeing Kmatz in a staff 'veteran' role (Surprise AZ is < 500 miles from his hometown); and of course Donkey as the overall team leader and Bazzana as he continues to develop.....and YES! Gavin Turley as he plays his first D-1 games less than 60 miles from his HS location. p.s. hope that the Beav game against the Golden Gophers on 2/18 includes an appearance by the 'raw' RHP George Klassen (he "sits at 98 mph and consistently hits above 100 mph with ease.")

I'm thinking traditional Beav Friday night starter, shut down guy. Conner, Luke, Andrew....very well could be in the hunt for national pitcher of year.

Maybe Ferrer will be a starter in 2023 (?)...maybe even a Friday night guy...that'd be great. I'm hoping that Kmatz will grow effectively into that role this season. Kmatz has a true starters mentality - and I think he is one of the better out-of-area players that Beavs have recruited in the past couple years (considering that both AZ schools are much closer to his 'neighborhood'). Needs to cut down on HR balls....(I'm betting he will). Ferrer was a starting pitcher in his last pre-OSU college season (D-1, 2021 University of South Carolina Upstate). With USC Upstate in 2021 he appeared in 8 games, with 7 starts. Since then, in 33 appearances (summer 2021 WCL and OSU 2022), Ferrer's only started twice. At any rate Ferrer is a huge KEY to the Beavs 2023 season. I'm really glad he's on the OSU staff instead of pitching for the Tri-City Dust Devils, etc. this season..
