Watching Lucas light it up for Nevada tonight and didn't know Steve Alford is the coach. Did a little research Alford has a 10 year contract paying him 11.6 million total. Wonder if he'd be interested in coaching for 1 million a year somewhere else.

So Lucas' stats are nearly identical to last year, and Alford is winning, but winning at lower rate than his 2 of his 3 predecessors at a school that's been winning in general since the mid 70's. What, other than him not being Tinkle, are the things that make him an interesting hire?

How about a 66% career winning percentage and has a winning record at every school he has coached. Lets start with that. Plus he is paid 1/3 of what our guy is getting.

Lucas with 26 points tonight on 9/14 shooting and 7/8 from the line. Only 1/4 from 3 so most of his work was done inside and from mid-range. Still wish we had him this year but glad he was able to find a home and a team that could make the tournament.

Steve Alford would be a horrible choice as the next head coach at OSU. More proof that 'truth' just wants WT gone. It doesn't matter who replaces him, the only thing that matters is he gets fired asap.

No thanks. Some might of thought Ralph was a cantankerous A-hole also. Guess he wouldn't have been hired either. I doubt there are a lot of winning coaches out there that don't have just a little and maybe a lot of that A hole characteristic. |
