UW shooting uncontested 3s over our two 5-5 guards. Sorry, but Noelle is a liability against PAC-12 teams, and Rueck seems hypnotized by her. AJ is twice the player. UW is shooting uncontested shots against the entire defense. Mannen is a relatively minor issue when considering how much has gone wrong with this team so far this season.

It looks like a rudderless ship….again.

At this point there's no reason to believe this team will do better than the bottom of the conference. Unbelievable.

This is a coming to god moment. They can decide where to go from here, up or down. For us “Rueck supporters” I still believe in this team and what they can do. And no I’m not blind or stupid, just my opinion.

For those that think this year is an anomaly. Starting with 2014-15 year the pac12 record was 16-2, 16-2, 16-2, 14-4, 14-4, 10-8, 7-6, 6-9, and this year not including today 2-5.
Anybody see a trend?

Shaping up to be the WORST weekend of OSU WBB in the last several years. At home / no injuries / lower tier opponents / major size advantage / two top 10 recruits in the line-up.
Problem is: Out-coached, out-executed, out-played.
20 minutes to turn it around. Not impossible. The ESPN win probability is at 94.6% for UW. Seems about right.
But - Is there a leader in uniform today? Or on the coaching staff?
UW has the Beavs totally figured out. Unless Beavs are about 40% from three, their whole game goes down the tubes.

Pretty shocking how we've fallen.

Yeah. I've been concerned about Rueck's philosophy making it more and more difficult to stay at or near the top of the Pac-12. I understand when a program has a lull, but the trend not only is continuing downward, but right now I see a program that is flirting with meltdown mode. There's time to get on an upward trend, but if Rueck can't get things going that way, there could be some key players bailing the sinking ship. I really hope that doesn't happen, but each game I watch right now makes me more and more concerned that things could get really bad.

Washington will coast home mismatching mannon with anybody she is guarding. The huskys had 2 seconds on click and Swarts was guarded by mannon easy lay up

Grad1973 and anyone else, we moved the thread to UW GAME THREAD 2 because there was an issue with this one for quite a while.

A couple of reasons for the decline are imo, our period of elite success was when the other conference programs were down relative to where they are now, and the past few years transfers have become much more important in college basketball and OSU has generally been a net loser in this area.

OSU just not making anyone on Washington feel uncomfortable on offense (or defense). Worst defense under S.R.?
Also, 3 or even 4 WA players collapse on Beers when she gets the ball down low....WA does not fear OSU's outside shooting, and rightly so.

I've continued to make the argument that the game changed significantly right around the time OSU was finding success. More and more teams started to emphasize more dynamic, uptempo offenses that require rosters full of quick and fast players. Rueck literally has been left in the dust.

I will add, a certain coach left the staff at around the same time as the start of your trend.
