He will. And he’s not. Far from it. We'll see. He and Gulbranson seem to have pretty similar numbers but Uiagalelei has a lot more experience, which makes me wonder whether he has reached his ceiling while Gulbranson is just starting the climb. Either way, Uiagalelei will at least add depth. |

Either way, Uiagalelei will at least add depth. His athleticism and arm strength compared to BG is far superior. I’ve watched Clemson games, and he was a threat not just to turn a bad situation into positive yards, but to house it from all over the field. Even some Clemson folks admitted that Dabo’s system wasn’t ideal for his skillset, and most analysts seem to feel that the talent is there and the fit good enough with what we have going in Corvallis with JS to enable this kid to deliver on his great potential. Nobody knows for sure how it will play out, but this could be a huge upgrade For us, and the ideal situation for Aidan to prepare in. |

Everyone claims he is a beaver except DJ himself. Hmm. I get your apprehension. The Beavs have been burned Simi Kuli-style in the past. You are right that DJ has not made it official. As I have read the news from every sports news source imaginable that this is happening, I tend to believe that it’s legit. None of those sources is omniscient, but for all of them to put this out there like it’s a done deal, I think that their credibility would demand that they are using reliable information to drive their reports. We know that DJ confirmed that he’s going into the transfer portal. I’ve also heard that his status for the Tigers Orange Bowl matchup with Tennessee (should be a great game, BTW) has not been decided yet. It seems possible that, in terms of speaking publicly about where he goes next, he might keep that on the down-low leading into a game involving current teammates who may still need him to play for the Tigers next Friday. I’m with you though. I’ll only allow myself to really start imagining the impact of this addition for the Beavs in 2023 after DJ makes an official announcement. |

I'd forgotten about the Bowl game. Probably no playing in that if he signs on with another school. That would be the only thing that makes sense for holding up making it official, other than shopping for better offers.
I assume the school has docusign or something similar, when the time comes it can be made official in seconds.

Heres his scouting report coming out of HS....natural leader, and great teammate is my favorite part.
Big, strong armed quarterback with generational arm strength. Has a big frame but looks lean and is well put together. Has one of the strongest arms in recent memory and has won ‘long ball’ contests with a throw of 80+ yards. Is much more than a big arm. Shows great touch, accuracy to all three levels of the field and greet natural feel for throwing the football. Understands when to take a little off, throws with anticipation and is a plus athlete as well. Has the ability to run zone read and is a very good runner in the open field. Can buy time and is accurate throwing down the field rolling out to his right or his left. Natural leader and a great teammate who is also a potential high round draft pick in Major League Baseball. Can still improve going through progressions and finding secondary receivers as well as escaping pressure. Upside is off the charts. Projects as a impact upper tier Power 5 starter and future early NFL draft pick.
