Judge is right. Despite what all the stat analytic geeks say, there's nothing wrong w/ a nice pull up mid range jumper. Everything doesn't have to be a layin/dunk or a trey

Oh I agree. His play has been disappointing. He also spends a lot of time with the ball in his possession just dribbling outside. Would rather see Rataj with the ball in his hands more than Taylor. Taylor does get to the line at a decent clip, but it is usually from drives to the hoop when he is seemingly looking to be bailed out by a foul. And to often that doesn’t happen and he’s left with a weak shot attempt or turnover. He did have 3 steals also, so have to give him credit for that. I would like to see Taylor pull up for an 8 foot jumper instead of always trying to take it all the way to the hoop. That's when he gets in trouble. Taylor had a couple games early on where, in my opinion, he did well with driving to the hoop in transition either coming on the tail end of a break or just after pulling up from one. That seemed to be a strength of his. Lately he seems to be struggling more on drives where the defense is fully set and there are more bodies between he and the basket. I don't think that's all that unusual for a lot of players. Hopefully there's a way to get him more involved with the offense that doesn't necessarily involve him initiating a drive when the defense is more set. I don't think it's his strongest asset. 3 steals potentially directly negates 6-9 points, potentially can add 6-9 points, and might disrupt an opposing offense's flow even more. We need that on the floor, he's valuable in those regards even if he's not scoring as much as he'd/we'd like.

Yep, he needs to add a jumper from free throw line and in. I’d be curious to know what his made shot percentage is on those drives to the basket — included in there when he gets fouled and when he turns it over. Maybe I’m incorrect, but it doesn’t seem like he gets may “and ones,”

He has 13 more turnovers on the season than Pope in 55 less minutes. I agree on drives early in the possession. He does pretty well in those circumstances. Unfortunately, the Beavs tend to take the air out of the ball, so those opportunities don’t come that often.
