Are the freshman tight? Yes, from the amount of time they seem to hang out with each other. But you have to keep in mind that last season after four players went into the portal they were still going on field trips with everyone. So being friends doesn't mean they won't portal out of town.

Either she is a better player than meets the eye (hopefully), or coach figured she was the best hope of nailing dagger 3s as time wore down…Rueck claims she is a good shooter, and maybe this was his way of testing out his own hunches on her prime time potential.
7. I don’t know what to make of Alex and her game –but thus far in 2022 she has played so-so at best.

8. Beers is a beast. No one in OSU recent memory has her combined ability to: (a) get garbage points, (b) absorb contact in the paint, (c) grab offensive boards, (d) score in muscular traffic. Has any Frosh at OSU ever had her double-double games before Jan. 1?
9. No one on this team, other than Talia, has demonstrated that they can shoot with consistency.
10. If the Beavs play as well in Hawaii as they did last night in Eugene, things are definitely looking much better for ’22-‘23.

11. It now seems possible that the key ingredient in upward team performance this season might be Timea. Sight unseen.

Good observations. Regarding Lily: I've seen her in warmups and she is likely our BEST 3-point shooter. As other people have commented, it's that adjustment from warmups to in-game conditions (stress, noise, etc.) that throws her off. I'm sure that is affecting Adlee too.

I was surprised we did as well as we did against TDSR and agree that it was the best performance so far. I think there is a definite trend towards improvement and I'm feeling much better about this team's ability to perform in the conference games (except against Stanford).

Compressed version of the game. Looking quickly at our possessions on Oregon's big run to win the game, besides the air-balled jumper from Talia when she couldn't create and space and just shot it, I thought our looks where decent. Jelena had a shot she should put down. Two strait trips with a pretty open jumper for Bendu she just missed. Just needed one to go down to stop the bleeding.

RE #1---yes it probably was their best game. Better 3pt shooting and they would have won. Had Endyia not had a career game Beavs could have won. Still, this team will probably show a lot of 2 steps forward and 1 step back. Timea will bring additional talent, but also throw a new player in the mix who won't have the experience of playing with each other, etc. I still think the team has a chance of being decent by season's end, but will that be too late to join the party?
#2 Jelen--I think 11ish blocks two seasons ago. 20 last year.....18 already this year. She's doing much better at positioning for rebounding and blocks.
#4 Martha--I am the first to say I've underestimated her. I don't think she is going to be a huge scorer for the Beavs, but I do think she might become more productive than anticipated. Her stats so far are best among guards when it comes to shooting percentage and assist per minute.
#8 Beers---Beast! Oh yeah! Love the way she grabs those offensive boards.
