Great great athlete...2 sports. One of the best we have seen in our lifetimes. He will recruit at a high level instantly. I just don't see him staying longer than three years. JMO

If I was him I'd want to be known as Coach Sanders not primetime or neon deion.

Willie Taggart is going to be one of his assistants. Saw that. Seems like a staff that might be skewed as recruit first coach second. Sanders already has the recruiting down, if I’m him, I’m looking for coach first guys while I take care of the recruiting.

I watched his first meeting with the Colorado players online (Youtube). One thing he told them was that the offseason was to get rid of the players who didn't belong. He told them that he brought their QB with him (but did say that he had to earn it). His whole attitude was that he was going to boot everyone who was not up to snuff and that there were a lot of guys on that list. By the end of it, there were a lot of nervous looking players in that meeting room. I know there are guys who respond well to that sort of motivational speech, but it felt like Sanders was paying Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross and the CU players had been told that they were, at best, worth a set of steak knives. I too watched the introductory video: Very inspirational. Colorado made a splashy hire. But also a bit inconsistent - tells his players "no hats", while he is wearing one. Tells his players they must earn their spot on the team - very laudable - and then tells them he is bringing QB1 with him (his son). Will be interesting to see how this plays out.....from the comments reacting to the video, trending very positive. The guy has a track record bar none, so I won't say "talk is cheap", and Colorado is paying plenty for the talk (and presumably results). Go Beavers! he better win or his tenure will be about half of Scott Frost's
