54-41 final. I suppose if you’re trying to find a bright spot, that 54 point total is a decent defensive performance. But 41 points on offense is ug-ly.

I was going to post a long screed that would most likely get some people angry, but I guess it just really doesn't matter. Maybe this program will get back to what it was not so long ago but I'm not so sure.
Nevertheless, I want to continue to support the team, so I will. And it's still early, so there's that.

No point in being too analytical: Another poster summarized it precisely:
"OSU is once a proud women basketball school but this isn’t the one I am watching. They are simply bad team."
What he did not say: Bendu: speed wasted. Mitrovic: height wasted: AJ: dribble penetration and vertical jumper wasted. Talia: Once in a decade player stunningly under utilized.
I've given away my Rebounder Row tickets.....
This team is not pathetic, but it is moving in that direction...

Assistant coaches are very important. This program has gone downhill since one left for UW and one for Montana.

Kennedy - a player who couldn't make as shot beyond 3' at OSU - shot 44% from the field. Beers was the ONLY OSU player who was able to shoot better than Kennedy. Beers has as many TOs as made shots, so not exactly stellar from her either. Absolutely putrid. I was looking forward to this game for a long time, only to have OSU play like they were all new to the game of basketball - telegraphed passes, purposeless dribbles, countless post entry passes directly to the defense, just clueless basketball. The most telling moment of the game was when Jelena got the ball at the high post with 3 defenders out guarding two guards, and she keeps facing the half-court line trying to get the ball back to the two guards being defended by 3 players instead of turning and enjoying a wide open 3-on-2 situation at the basket.
I will not be able to watch this team much longer if the basketball IQ demonstrated doesn't radically improve - it's just too aggravating.

My screaming at the TV didn't help. The TURNOVERS were atrocious. It's like they were running plays completely BLIND to what the defense was doing.
Still a fan, still believe, but geesh that was a very poor showing.

I went to the game. I think we would have had a better offensive performance if the coaches left the court and said play "pick up ball". At this point we need to get more minutes for Raegan, Lily, and Adlee. I can live with a young team, but please play them. Adlee didn't see the court Friday, and when I left the game with 3 minutes Adlee had not yet seen the floor. I thought Martha played OK, but Martha played wing and not the point? Play Martha at the point please.
