I'm happy the beavs won. But don't be all giddy about it. The Beavs were 1-0 last year too. Then went 2-28. Some will be ecstatic if they get all of 10 wins this year. So, we should dismiss this win as unimportant because last year started the same way? Or just brush it off because it *may* be one of only a few wins? Isn't that kind of like making excuses for wins? If we don't want to hear coaches give reasons ("excuses") for not panicking when things go badly, should we want to hear anyone give reasons ("excuses") for belittling it when things go well?
We have a group of fans that are hoping the team fails, so we can hire a new coach. That is not my definition of being fan. Plus, pre-Tinkle, we don't exactly have a great track record in that regard. |

I went to bed at halftime in a real grumpy mood.  What the hell happened??? The lunar eclipse I actually made it up for that as I had to make a trip to the bathroom at that time. Alas, it was too cloudy at our house. |

No agenda here; I’m really curious. I hope the group isn’t very large at all and agree that isn’t a fan. I’m not much of a fan of Tinkle’s, but no way in hell I’m rooting against the team. I didn’t stay up til 2 this morning hoping to see a loss. |

Not sure what the number is, because some of the same negative stuff also happens on the other boards. I think we have a number of "eyeore" fans on these boards. I'm not thrilled with what happened last year either, but I don't make the decisions, so I will try to support the current coach and players. |

I actually made it up for that as I had to make a trip to the bathroom at that time. Alas, it was too cloudy at our house. My 10 year old son really wanted to see it, so I set the alarm and went to bed after the game. I was woken up by the dog at 0030 due to, what turned out to be, a miscommunication between my wife and I as to who let him out before bed (surprise answer: nobody). Cleaned that up and went back to bed. Alarm went off at 0145 and checked the sky. We were pretty lucky that there was a break in the clouds and we got a good look at the eclipse. My other 2 sons wanted nothing to do with it and went back to sleep. I then had a meeting at 0700. Ugh It was a rough morning, but it was a memorable experience with my son, and of course, a thrilling Beaver victory! |

I don’t know how many games Tulsa will win this year as they are in the process of finding their way with a new coach and system, but they are a legit D1 team. Makes the comeback and all around play in that game even more impressive that it didn’t happen against an early season cupcake. Congrats to WT, staff and players on a very nice win. Looking forward to seeing them build on it over the next few games.
