He has studied the boat used in Gilligan’s island. That model of boat will only go 12 miles an hour so on their 3 hour tour they could only get 18 miles off shore. They would not be stranded on a deserted island that close to the mainland. He has concluded that maybe the whole show was a fake.

They could by twice that distance with those numbers provided. I guess he's assuming that in a giant storm that they would've been able to turn around at the half way point.

I took his math to mean if it was a 3 hour trip you would be back at the dock in 3 hours so you only travel outbound for an hour and a half.

Leach is an odd dude.

The Minnow was caught in a ferocious storm and pushed hundreds of miles off course. It was only due to their fearless crew that the ship didn’t capsize. As usual, Leach doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

I'd go with Ginger but only as Eva Grubb.

I've ALWAYS been a Mary Ann guy! original theme song written by one 'Johnny' Williams (think Start Wars/Boston Pops) I remember when the lyrics ended with, “ ….. and the rest, here on Gilligan’s Isle….” No mention of the Professor OR Mary Ann.

This started out causing me to anguish over childhood memories, then everything was swell again because of the MaryAnn - Ginger argument! Everyone knows the Professor didn't let them get rescued because he had a crush on both, and the Howells were evading the irs. Sleep well everyone!
