He has studied the boat used in Gilligan’s island. That model of boat will only go 12 miles an hour so on their 3 hour tour they could only get 18 miles off shore. They would not be stranded on a deserted island that close to the mainland. He has concluded that maybe the whole show was a fake. The Minnow was caught in a ferocious storm and pushed hundreds of miles off course. It was only due to their fearless crew that the ship didn’t capsize. As usual, Leach doesn’t know what he’s talking about. And of course, the "3 hour tour" was just what the tour was scheduled for, that's why it was such a bad deal that they ended up being stranded on the deserted island for several years. That said, I'm sure they weren't blown THAT far out to sea. A new group of people came across them every single week. |

It was changed after the pilot. |
