Strange Pitching choices tonight. Hope Mitch is lights out not the shelled out Mitch. With Coop out I think they are going for big mismatch. They aren't seeing any of our top relievers and Pfennigs is our least consistent starter right now. Expect a heavy top end bull pen for game 2 and 3 if needed. |

This game feels like the second North Carolina in 2018. Caden O'Brien shut Oregon State down for 4.1 innings in the middle of the game before Taylor chased him on a base hit in the eighth. Oregon State then put up four runs in both the eighth and ninth to win in a laugher.
Oregon State's starter was chased after 2.2 innings. The reliever that replaced him gave up a big home run to left.
The HP umpire was garbage that game, too.
The difference is that Sheehan came in in the second, as opposed to the third.

If we can win this one with Pfennigs, Townsend, Verburg and probably Brown it would be massive. Its smart to leverage all our best pitching for the last two games with the order messed up. |
