And to think we had the bases loaded with 1 out in the first and got nothing. Sure could have used a few more runs there as things have dried up. OSU did score after getting bases loaded, Gretler struck out and Dernedde walked to drive in run |

Other than Hjerpe, this year’s pitchers are kinda average. Injuries and maybe coaching.
Bottom half of the batting order is kinda average.
Amazing we’re in the supers.

Interesting we went with Townsend. Makes me think we are playing for big mismatches in game 2 and 3. Townsend can eat up innings. We really need him to get into the sixth and keep Auburn at the six that they currently have. This game is winnable at that point. Just have to wear the Tigers' pitchers down. We win it here. Or we destroy their bullpen and give 'em a Pyrrhic Victory. |

Go Beavs. Pfennigs is great, but he is streaky. Kmatz will be great, but he is young. Gretler is going to be great and should have been at third pretty much the entire year. Melton still looks off to me. We need him to be Melton again in a hurry. |
