Or Omaha? As it's not been "best" for at least 25-30 seasons as I'm pretty sure an SEC team (at least one, many times multiple) has been there during that time. Henry Skrimshander The last time that there was no SEC teams was 1992, the year Pepperdine won it. Notably, that was the final season of the 10-team SEC before Arkansas and South Carolina joined to give the SEC 12 teams. Having said that, the SEC only had one (or two in 1994) team(s) that went 2&Q in 1994, 2006, 2007 and 2016. Oregon State won National Championships in 2006 and 2007. And Arizona played in the National Championship Game in 2016. 2006 and 2007 were great years! Damn you beat me to it.😀 Its just as well, you're better & more detailed in presenting information. GD salesman wouldn't shut up before I got him out the door.

When they are all eliminated, there are no SEC teams there. I like Omaha. I don't like the SEC. Not that difficult a concept to grasp. "There are three stages: Thoughtless being. Thought. Return to thoughtless being.
"Do not confuse the first and third stages. Thoughtless being is attained by everyone, the return to thoughtless being by a very few."

Honest question…..who do you go with in this super? I’m going with Tennessee mainly because I would love to play them for the championship. But that being said, I still wouldn’t mind ND upsetting the front runner but then again….damn I just can’t root for the domers. Nuff said The sooner that Tennessee is eliminated, the better it is for everyone. The Vols are a bunch of classless mouth-breathers. Hyper-talented classless mouth-breathers, who would be a nightmare to go up against. In the past 25 years, three of Oregon State's biggest neutral site victories in any sport have come against Notre Dame and Tennessee. The Beavers beat the Irish in football in two bowl games in a four-year period at the beginning of this century and Oregon State basketball polished off Tennessee in the first round of March Madness last year. In baseball, Oregon State is undefeated against Notre Dame, winning the sole matchup 4-1 in an early season tournament in Riverside. Oregon State is 3-2 against Tennessee, splitting the 2009 series in Knoxville (the third game was rained out) and winning two-of-three at Goss in 2010. If Oregon State plays Notre Dame or Tennessee in the Championship Series, if baseball is anything like the other sports, I believe that good things will happen. That said, historically, when Oregon State is on the 2-3-6-7 side of the bracket, the Beavers have only ever played the 4-5-12-13 seed winner in the Championship Series. That winner picked off the #1 overall seed both years that Oregon State won it all.

Whether it be Notre Dame (that's preferable - the sooner the better), Texas/East Carolina, Texas A&M, Louisville, Oklahoma, or Virginia Tech....or a team from 'our' side of the bracket...Shucking the Vols from the field of 16 (or 8...or less), is immeasurably important. Baseball is simply too good for them to continue staining the diamond.

Irish showing that the numbers for Tennessee are definitely inflated by playing in that small park. 3-0 ND.

Way to early, but Vols don't look like they like breaking balls. Junk Ball just might get em.

Four home runs in first 4 innings put Domers up 8-1 over Vols. Too bad...

Vols put their flame thrower in the game Down 8-1. Seems like you could find a better spot to use him

Anyone know why Vols didn’t start one of their stud starters?

Anyone know why Vols didn’t start one of their stud starters? Blade Tidwell was their Saturday starter for at least a month there. They switched Chase Dollander and Tidwell for the SEC Tournament and kept it that way for the Knoxville Regional. I am guessing that you see Dollander start tomorrow. That is all to say that Tidwell is one of Tennessee's "stud starters" to the extent that the Vols have more than one............

Anyone know why Vols didn’t start one of their stud starters? Don't know. The starter tonight (Tidwell) had a 2.00 ERA with a .185 BAA...and 8 starts on the season, including v. Auburn, Georgia, Vanderbilt.
