They’re doomed in Omaha though. They dog piled. Huge mistake.

Funny thing Baseball is funny. One error changed that game. Tennessee had a similar if not better record than our 2017 team. We have been there too. Being the best gives You the opportunity not the right. Our opportunity is tonjght period. Oklahoma just beat Virginia tech 11-2.

Half the top 8 seeds are eliminated, and another 3 are on the ropes facing elimination today.

No they didn't...we were 56-4 before we got jobbed at Omaha by Greg Street and company. Tennessee was 57-8 and didn't make it out of the Supers.

The Vols went 57-9 and didn't make it to the CWS. Similiar maybe but most certainly not better.

Eye black, bat flips, strutting and trash talk don't win championships. It work for our Fiesta Bowl team, minus the bat flips. Not to quibble, but that team shared the Pac-10 championship, and winning a regional, Super Regional and the CWS is several bridges further than winning a one-off bowl game. And the FB team wasn't anywhere near as annoying as the head coach and his DBs in Knoxville.

Did you forget the pat downs, CJ dropping the ball before he scored, the posing, etc? We finished in the top 5, the equivalent of Omaha in baseball.

You don't have to win three or four games, like a regional. You then don't have to win two games, like a Super. You then don't have to win five or six games, like at the CWS. Winning the CWS is a far tougher accomplishment. OSU won a Fiesta Bowl championship by winning one game. Every one of our NCAA champions had to win at least 10 postseason games. CJ's dropping the ball was not directed at the other team. He simply misjudged the goal line. If he drops it two steps later no one gives it a second thought.

Football making a bowl game is great, even winning a major bowl like the FB. But it simply doesn't compare to winning the NCAA baseball championship. Forty-some teams win bowl games every year. Six teams win the so-called major bowls every year. One team wins the baseball title, and has to win 10 games to do it.
