Ben F. is surely one of the best arms on the staff but his role has been restricted mostly to fairly short relief during the regular season. However, I recall that he has pitched successfully in at least one longer, multiple inning stint. I wonder if he might also be used as a starter in some post-season games where we could face situation(s) where the regular starters have already pitched very recently.

As far as the staff goes, only he and Hunter have gone starter type innings on a regular basis. It's almost imperative to have a 4th starter in tournament play as you never know what may happen. But, In Ben's situation he maybe considered too valuable as a long reliever that can shut down teams and eat innings. Hunter has not been put in that situation. So, we might see Ben kept as that emergency starter, shut down middle relief and Hunter as the 4th starter??

Ferrer in the jo pa role would be interesting, either way beavers need to maximize innings out of Ferrer and Brown.

I thought that Patterson moved from starter to the pen not the other way around. I was referring to JoPa’s work at the CWS where he made multiple inning appearances as kind of a long closer to help the beavers win the title. That how Ferrer can really help the beavers

Apparently he had a case of mono way back about the same time Melton was under the weather? If that's so, how long does that stick around, and wouldn't he have regained his strength by now? 🤔

You can feel better, but if the spleen or liver is still swollen then they don't recommend any rigorous activity that could potentially impact those organs because it may cause them to rupture. But I've heard of cases of mono where people felt weak for over a month.

What is the rotation going to look like? Cooper Wed. for about 40 Pitches then possible for the Championship on Sun? Losing the last couple of weekends takes us off cruise control. Dang it.

Lost a ton of weight too. 190 down to 165ish by the time I started feeling better.

Probably depends on how much we trust Hunter. If I understand the bracket right it’s 5 games minimum with 8 max. It we lose any it would get situational real fast depending on who’s got arm left. If I was planning it, good thing I’m not cause we would definitely mess the bed, I’d ho something like… 1) Hjerpe (5-6 innings), Sebby, Brown 2) Kmatz, Ferrer, Verburg 3) Hunter, Townsend, Carpenter, Brown 4) Pfennigs, Lawson/Sebby,Boisvert/Quinn, Verburg 5) Hjerpe, Ferrer, Carpenter, Brown Lattery would be a wild card. Boisvert, Quinn, Hibbard and Thornstien are all kind of interchangeable. Doesn’t Thornstien throw left? Or not. 4 to 7 games durrrr

Jaren Hunter will start Wednesday. Be some big trust but I'm not really against it and hes the most rested starter.
