Does anybody know the meaning or definition of ad nauseam? I'm working on my limited vocabulary & could use some help because I'm not very smart. Look up beating a dead horse. My apologies for my part in "equinecide". But, I was "made" to... the OP was too strong of influence.

There is a fairly famous Danish astronomer, Tycho Brahe (1546-1601). I don't know why, but I remember reading about him sometime around my OSU years. I don't recall anything about his astronomy but only that he lost his nose in a duel. I guess he was arguing with another guy, a distant relative, about who was a better mathematician. I'm sure alcohol was involved. And Brahe lost his nose to a sword. It struck me as funny as I knew some super nerds at the time who I could see doing that. To bring this full circle, I suggest two of our posters meet behind the Plaid Pantry at 3am with swords drawn. Who really is better at statistics? I want to know! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tycho_Brahe

To bring this full circle, I suggest two of our posters meet behind the Plaid Pantry at 3am with swords drawn. Who really is better at statistics? I want to know! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tycho_BraheCheck out that mustache! Tycho Brahe invented the term "supernova" and proved that they were beyond the solar system. This proved that the stars beyond the solar system were not fixed and could change. Brahe also calculated out the Moon's orbit of Earth better than any known astronomer before him. Unlike Copernicus, he argued that the Sun orbited around the Earth but that all of the other planets orbited around the Sun. Brahe was the first major astronomer that attempted to save what was left of the Aristotelian view of the universe after Copernicus pointed out all of the problems with a pure geocentric universe and proposed that the sun was at the center of the universe. Brahe had severe difficulty reconciling his model and the orbit of Mars. After an international tour to discuss his supernova findings, King Frederick made Brahe the Lord of the Island of Hven, becoming the "Lord of Heaven." Brahe built a castle and observatory there. King Frederick died in 1588, and King Christian's court soured on Brahe, because Brahe advocated for more money for science and less for involvement in territorial expansion. In 1597, he left Hven, eventually moving to Prague in 1599. In 1600, Brahe hired Johannes Kepler to be his assistant to fight with his archrival, Nicolaus Reimers Bär, commonly known by his Latin surname, Ursus, even though Ursus died only eight months after Brahe hired Kepler. The Tycho Craters on the Moon and on Mars are named after Tycho Brahe. Brahe died in 1601, and Kepler took over for Brahe. Kepler was able to generate data that Mars had an elliptical orbit and orbited the sun in a heliocentric solar system. Due to disputes with Brahe's family about whether Kepler generated the data on his own or had stolen the data from Brahe's private data, the data and Kepler's conclusions would not see the light of day for several years. Kepler used the same data to set forward his three laws of planetary motion. Kepler was subsequently attacked for polluting astronomy with physics, just like Brahe before him. Kepler was attacked for polluting astronomy with physics. Kepler was able to calculate a transit of Mercury across the Sun in 1631 and a Transit of Venus across the Sun in 1639. However, he died in 1630. Additionally, he was slightly off with his Mercury numbers, which had to be corrected and refined and corrected by subsequent astronomers and physicists. His Venus numbers did not correlate correctly with other data, which also had to later be refined and corrected. The Brahe and Copernicus models competed for the primary theory of the solar system until the Brahe model was affirmatively disproven in the 1720s. The Kepler Crater on the Moon is by the larger Copernicus Crater. The pair with the Tycho Crater are three of the largest craters on the Moon.

Well moving forward fellas back to the topic at hand.....I pay attention to the pitch count of the starting pitcher as the game wears on but that’s about it. Don’t really pay attention to any of the relievers pitch count.....so hopefully we can get past beating this dead horse. No offense meant....

One is whether posting the total counts is OK to post during the game. Another is whether the stat has merit. And a third is whether the heckling and ridiculing of the posts is childish behavior. The first horse seems to be dead. Folks expressed their encouragement early in the thread. The second is still alive. There are differing opinions because this is not a conventional stat. We are more used to pitch counts as a factor for each pitcher, especially the starter. The third horse isn’t a horse; it’s mule. You can beat it and beat it, but it never dies.

As to number 3, I am starting to wonder if Nuke beav is just another alias for baseballllllllls. They seem to have some of the same personality 'attributes'. A real life Golum and Smeagol.

Hopefully someday they will ship me off to Valinor to heal so I can go back to over indulging in my pipe and eating 7 meals a day like a proper hobbit.

I say from posts where others seem to be blamed and control of how he acts and the highly highly sensitivity to any and all criticism... Dependent personality disorder (DPD) But, I'm an arse with a confirmation bias in this instance! Go Beavs!
