Wow, well the late season collapse we all feared appears to be occurring. Did not expect this. Is a top 8 national seed still a possibility if we can win next two?

Smails, you're actually reasonable. You honestly believe Rowe doesn't actively try to sound like he isn't rooting for oregon state. I'm dumbfounded. He's also walking dead sounding, no life to anything he says. Dude sucks. He’s not supposed to be rooting for OSU. That’s his job. I will agree that he’s a little blah…as far as adding to the broadcast. I'm obviously not saying he should be rooting for oregon state, he should be neutral. But, unfortunately, he comes off like he's not. He comes off like the current guys aren't as good as his teams were. Like a homer for what once was. Anyway, dude sucks. |

I would agree with the out played comment. the double steal was a gutsy call that gave them a run. Parker commented that the UCLA base coach stayed aggressive....to steal third was a huge turn to get a second run at the time. |

Then of course the downer pout if things go south. Pac12 baseball really has no good announcers or color guys. But, most of us watch the game for the game and know how to mute crappy announcers. So there's that. |

Rowe is getting paid by the pac12 network not OSU. He isn't supposed to root for anybody.

Total bs to call it a late season collapse....we were in control of second game at Arizona til MV hit batter sparked the wildcats. Tonight the cards were in UCLA hands ......need to redeem ourselves tomorrow |

I have never said he should be sucking our proverbial dick, but he should come off like he thinks we're decent at worst. He doesn't. He always comes off like watching this team is a chore for him and the team he played on was way, way better. Plus, he is boring as f%#*. |

UCLA was better tonight. They don't look like a great hitting team but they sure put the ball in play with runners on. Something we have struggled with all year. We screwed ourselves!

What's not in dispute is that the Beavs came into the weekend with their first 2-game losing streak of the season... and now have their first 3-game losing streak. Looking back at the way the PAC-12 schedule was constructed, it's not totally surprising. Finish with a road series in Tucson and a home series vs. a very good UCLA team, with quality pitching, and here it is: 2 games to play. Unless the Beavs win both Friday and Saturday, I think it indeed will qualify as a late season collapse. |

Back away from the ledge...slowly. Our RPI is still #2. As projected by someone smarter than me a month ago, we need to get to 41 wins during regular season to be in good position to be a national seed. We got outplayed tonight, it happens. We pitched good enough for 8 innings to win. We made 3 mental errors in the field, which cost us the game. Tomorrow will be better, I promise!

We just really struggle against Ace pitchers without Wheeler in the lineup. Hmmmm... confused here?? Exactly versus what "Ace pitchers" did TJ help OSU? Because he's only played in 16 games, 44 total AB, hitting .227 with more K's than hits. Played in UW series (no qualified "Aces"), @utah (no "Ace"), the Sunday game vs ucks (definitely no "Aces"). Went 0 fer 8 in Pac12 play vs some of the worst pitching. TJ was hurt, hasn't recovered. But, he's played in 16 total D1 games so I'm not sure how anyone can say he's the missing link. His JC stats were awesome in '21, but that doesn't always translate. |
