Nah, I just hate mediocrity, which just happens to be both S Scott Barnes and Wayne sTinkle's middle name! I hate mediocre Elite 8's. If that's your idea of mediocre, we've been far below that for the last 30 years. But you love 2022 right? You can't just selectively throw out years to suit your narrative.

Wayne has said he would have welcomed Lucas back after he went into the portal. I don't have the quote, but there was an alleged altercation during a game with Lucas and Kerry Rupp. I know Daschel tweeted it. Can't quote the tweet tho... Bingo, that was one of them. Rupp specifically said "THAT'S THE PROBLEM!" and Wayne promptly put him back in 3-4 minutes later. Jarrod knew he could walk over Wayne and staff at that point. As for Wayne welcoming him back, he does need warm bodies as he's fighting for his job.

Yep, the one's who love mediocrity...they have to go. Expect better. Listen up all you mediocrity-loving slackers (and you know who you are) - your attitude is not helpful so get with the program or get out!!(Sounds just a little ridiculous, doesn't it?)
They've already left, as evidenced by the lack of fans who showed up to watch sTinkle "coach" in 2022. But you'd know that if you watched the games.

You guys just give him a free pass like he's Dennis Erickson, you know a guy who actually won many different places before coming to Corvallis? Apples and oranges....with Wayne and S Scott Barnes as the non ripe bananas.

About three years too late, but in the end...he was sacked.

Even Wayne would take a 7-5 or 8-5 type season right now. If that's mediocre, then sTinkle's in a dumpster fire (and so might be Jonathan)

Apples and oranges....with Wayne and S Scott Barnes as the non ripe bananas. Dennis was pretty mediocre here except for one season. Apples to apples. What is your definition of mediocre?
Dennis Erickson overall winning % at OSU = 0.645 Dennis Erickson winning % without Fiesta Bowl season = 0.556
Mike Riley overall winning % at OSU = 0.538 Mike Riley 2 = 0.563
So Mike Riley's best years from 2003 to 2014 were almost exactly the same as Dennis Erickson's without the Fiesta Bowl season, both won at the rate 56 wins out of every 100 games played.
If Dennis Erickson was "mediocre" without the Fiesta Bowl, then the best years of Mike Riley were also "mediocre".
To bring this back to basketball, Tinkle's winning % is 0.458 with the Elite 8 season and 0.436 without. Jay John was 0.426 overall but of course he didn't have an Elite 8 run. Robinson's overall was 0.477 also without an Elite 8 run. If winning 56 games out of 100 is mediocre then winning 46 games out of 100 or fewer would have to be "bad". Right?

That was the point. We’ve always been “mediocre” or below in every sport except baseball and a couple years in WBB according to some people’s definition. It’s nothing new.

Tinkle won big at his previous job before coming to OSU too.
