Look, I hate the ducks as much as anyone.....and prolly more than most. But, I see zero issue with goofy between innings stuff. Its entertaining for fans....all 12 of em!

I donβt pay attention to the between innings stuff so whatever. That darned pitching clock needs to go. The duck clock was a total distraction. Just let the umps have the timer if there is going to be a timer. Plus I have seen so many pitchers step off the rubber with just a fake throw to empty space. This even happens with no men on base.

Brought my signs to PK tonight. Walked down the steps to the top of the dugout twice. The second trip brought the wrath of a bunch of uck fans. Mostly loudmouthed college kids, who bailed between the 7th and 8th inning. I guess Mommy had to tuck them in tonight, after they got home. Anyway, the two that chapped their butts the most were "PK Park. The house that Casey built". And "You can't buy your way to Omaha". I also loved their between inning stunts they do, it's like being at a minor league game. Sacks races, breaking balloons by sitting on them, kids dancing on top of the dugout. Stupid stuff that nobody else in the Pac-12 does. Attendance at tonight's game was 2493, almost 1000 more than they had at Sundays game against Wazzu. Those extra fans were wearing orange and black! Dave, You rock, keep doing what you're doing regardless of the beaver/downers. πππππππππππππ Here is the signal I gave to a political operative that was dressed in "duck gear," that showed up to my door the other day πππππππππ I said if you want me to vote for your candidates: "Please come back when you're dressed appropriately" (Only Beaver Gear) "Now get off my lawn" π

I'd go with a sign next week something like "Should I be using the toilet in the middle of the OF or are you providing other facilities?"

What's wrong with it? It has no place in college sports. Save that crap for minor league, and kids. This ain't the Eugene Emeralds or Corvallis Knights. College baseball is a serious business, and this game is definitely WAR. But don't tell the ucks that. Let them go through their antics at PK. When they come to Goss, all 40 of them, they'll understand what college baseball is supposed to be. And baby, it's game on. No time for their childish crap. Says the fan of the team with the "strike out chainsaw"Β Also, using the term WAR for college sports has no place.Β There's a whole thread about it. What is wrong with the strikeout chainsaw? The chainsaw is part of our culture. I love it's addition this year. I have heard Case use the analogy of "Going to WAR" to describe what happens when a player crosses the chalkline and takes the field. Good enough for him, good enough for me.

You mean like "childish" signs and prancing down to the dugout to get noticed?? Curious, asking for a friend. "Childish signs" huh? I'll have you know that Mike Parker loved my sign at PK a few years ago. He mentioned it at the Lane County Coaches Tour, back in the spring of 2019. It read "PK Park, the house that Casey built". I went down there with my signs for one main reason. To piss off duck fans. And to remind them that "You can't buy your way to Omaha". Several players asked to see my signs while I was down there, as did a coaching assistant. I guess they're childish too?

This flame war is dumb but yeah they are adults playing a game for a living or their job is game adjacent. Society has just made childrens games lucrative as a fun distraction. I guess the whole gladiator thing fell out of style so we had to fill the void with less murdery fun. That said whatβs wrong with some childish behavior? Aslong as your identity isnβt βfanβ itβs just about having some fun and getting away from the vast drudgery that is the grind! Just donβt be a dick about it ya know?

"It has no place in college sports. Save that crap for minor league, and kids. This ain't the Eugene Emeralds or Corvallis Knights. I do find your take on the "crap" at PK as a childlike temper tantrum (even though OSU prevailed) considering you do produce signage and use them not only to send a message but to be noticed. Yet you find a baseball game "WAR" and fun activities having no place. I've never been to the front or in any war, but my guess it's not equivalent to a game/athletic event of ANY kind , nor are their signs being waved for fun at the opposition?! Secondly, along with the childlike tantrum I'd bet if you were sitting at OSU and some in between innings activities occurred you'd have a far different take. I mean OSU has had such races and activities! There 1000's of stadiums and arenas across the country (world?? I've never attended a sporting event in my travels) have such "crap". In fact it's common place and has been so for years. Did you just take note at PK this last game? Lastly, for someone who spews so much vitriol upon anything uck, including this last rant that again seems a bit over the top and hypocritical, I can't believe you use the "eugene" in your moniker? Do you really live in Eugene? It must be very difficult to reconcile that.

Do you really live in Eugene? It must be very difficult to reconcile that. Waved? Not really. I don't think that Dave waves his signs either. But there were a lot of signs in World War II. Americans put up Kilroy everywhere it is believed as an encouragement to others behind them that someone was always ahead of them. The Germans thought that Kilroy was somehow related to espionage and wasted their time on unraveling the mystery. Stalin and the Russians were perplexed by Kilroy at Potsdam. Several planes had sign art on them for the enemy, like "Raz'n Hell" on a B-29A Superfortress: And then there were the Warhawks with their shark teeth: On October 27, 1942, after the Battle of Santa Cruz Islands, the USS Hornet sank. In the previous eight months, the Japanese had sunk the Langley (CV-1); Lexington (CV-2); and Yorktown (CV-5); torpedoed the Saratoga (CV-3), putting it out of action for almost 15 weeks; and sank the Wasp (CV-7) and Hornet (CV-8). The Ranger (CV-4) was left alone in the Atlantic and the Enterprise (CV-6) was left alone in the Pacific. After the Hornet sank, the crew of the Enterprise made a sign, which read, "Enterprise vs Japan." I could go on. But there are a lot of signs in war. I take no part in the other issues presented, other then I tend to be a fan of Dave's signs.
