The problem with the offensive production is that the decision will have to me made soon on Ferrer taking the mound today rather than starting tomorrow. Lattery has been fine for 3 innings, and Brown can extend, but the decision will soon be a forced decision. Kmatz has done very well for a freshman, Pac12 starter, but the 3rd time through the order has been tough. My second guessing and hope is Ferrer. He can probably go 6. He’s at about 70 pitches. He can go 80+ and has twice this year. He’s still getting plenty of good outs. Definitely a start to the 6th, but Dorman will have a short leash. Then the decision. |

Could Hunter start tomorrow? With pfenigs back for dirt bags and Zaga it seems possible. Would be short rest though Hunter threw a lot of pitches on Tuesday, and the Beavers need a starter on Thursday. The pitching gets interesting. |
