Mitch and Dorman have their work cut out for them. Forget about how tough Omaha is without deep pitching, a Super Regional would take this staff down. Sorry.

Can you say, "over rated"!! Our BP continues to stab the team in the back, not to mention, apparently, we have an issue hitting decent pitching, especially under pressure.. Lost weekend but will/should get us out of the top 10 so maybe they can actually start just playing BB?? I just don't see this team in Omaha, toooo many holes, and the BP is a huge one... Please sit Verberg, PLEASE!!! He just has lost whatever he had, sad for sure, but quit punishing the team and throwing him into NO WIN situations, he cannot handle it and it's hurting the whole team.... truly frustrating weekend for sure...

In 27 games the Beavers have given up 70 doubles. Seems excessive. [Beaver batters = 60 doubles to date]. Speaking of excessive, today's Beaver DH has 31 AB's this season and 15 strikeouts. Then again he is a true freshman. Maybe he'll improve quickly ala Michael Gretler. Here's' hoping ! 70 doubles is more doubles than Oregon State allowed in 2005, 2014 and 2016. The record in the past twenty years was the 2002 team, which allowed 110 doubles in 54 games. The Beavers pitchers are squandering a lot of great Beavers hitting.

Lost weekend? That’s 0-3. We won 1 and will still likely be in the top 10. Sorry to burst your bubble.

The BP is a train wreck and hitting good pitching is apparently an issue. This team, right now, is NOT a top 10 team, period. The offense was shut down to a trickle, maybe a drip! At some point they need to be able to compete on Sundays, right now they are a jc team on Sunday. Pfennings coming back might help, but he's not back and who knows if he will be. Other teams have to be excited to get to Sunday because they have a better than good chance to win. I don't think anyone is giving up on them but there are obvious to all, major issues to overcome. Imo...

The 2018 NCAA champions lost a series at Utah, the last-place team in the Pac-12.
I don't think anyone is giving up on them
Sounds like the guy calling them a jc team on Sundays is.

Beavs have a lot of young players who are learning on the job. They'll be ready to face tough opponents soon enough. Didn't get the job done today. That Stanford lefty pitcher threw well after his early walk-a-thon. He earned it.

Most everyone knows the biggest problem. Now we are faced with offense that is showing some real weaknesses. The Breaking Ball in the Playoffs is the killer and the winner. Can we figure it out in time?

Imo... Beavs were 3-2 on the week....with the 'inertia' that is a characteristic of the Top 10/25 ratings, I'd expect the Beavs to still be in the TOP 10. D-1 Baseball site ranked teams that were TOP 15 beginning the weekend went 3-10 today (not including ranked teams, playing ranked teams). Many teams apparently have problems. Btw, a top 25 ranked team that lies < 40 miles south, got SWEPT this weekend at UCLA - all 3 games were ONE Run games.

Isn't this the team a number of posters thought would go undefeated, hitting a thousand homers, and pitching sixty shutouts? Boys, this happens every year for every sport: the teams look good on paper and y'all expect national championships. Then, when they don't meet your expectations, y'all run for the hills screaming "The sky is falling! They're all a bunch of bums! Fire somebody!" I vote for firing a few fans.

Not this weekend - the bats lost this series for sure. They lost the first game, but not the third. And Lattery did pretty good.....as soon as Verburg came in the wheels fell off. I'm a believer of the team concept. Both losses were based on missed opportunities on both sides. However, the bats today actually did very little. They had the chance to blow this open. But, without looking, I think 4 of the 5 runs were "gifts" from Furd, bases loaded walks and WP. And end with a bunch of empty innings and 14 Ks and only 6 hits. I think Furd has a more experienced team and it eventually showed. Especially on the mound. Having a Pac12 pitcher of the week close Friday and ready for 7 innings today was a great move. And, Matthew's maturity showed coming off that miserable inning and finishing. Work to do. But, it's Pac12 baseball. There was going to be no matter. Just as folks went over the top early on with very little to go on. Some now are going the opposite way. being too negative, overboard about the post season. This is a top 15 "ish" team. The strength of the Pac12 and a top 4 finish will get a regional at Goss. Lots to look forward too. OSU has played 2 of the current bottom 3, and only 1 series versus the other top 4. Chances to make inroads even though a 5-0 lead and home series loss hurts.
