You don’t win every game. Strange things happen in baseball. We’re only half way through the season. Not necessarily indicative of the the team they will be going into the postseason. I'm happy with results overall, so far......but Verburg is a weak link, yet he gets chance after chance.....same result Verburg pitched lights out in the 5th. But, again, it was in his second inning that he fell apart. I'm wondering if something is happening with his arm. It's nice and warm for that first inning. Then it sits during the Beaver's half, and during that time, it gets cold and tight. And when he goes back out, he's lost it. It has to be something like that because he is pretty good for one inning.

The D.J. Carpenter appearance had some interesting aspects. First and foremost, Carpenter had a couple of early pitches that he thought were strikes, but he didn’t lose composure with the ball calls. I thought Carpenter was a 2 pitch guy, but I saw 4 pitches today with the fastball not his most important pitch. I have my hopes again.

I'm sure that Dorman and Verburg are working on the mechanics and the body movement so that he can be an effective pitcher again. I suspect the issue is body mechanics. Something is different in that second inning.

Isn't this the team a number of posters thought would go undefeated, hitting a thousand homers, and pitching sixty shutouts? Boys, this happens every year for every sport: the teams look good on paper and y'all expect national championships. Then, when they don't meet your expectations, y'all run for the hills screaming "The sky is falling! They're all a bunch of bums! Fire somebody!" I vote for firing a few fans. I know you responded to my post, but is this a response to my post? I never posted that this team was the greatest thing since sliced bread, nor did I post that the sky is falling. I think I made a pretty level headed observation regarding the team’s weakness and expressed my confidence in the coaches to fix it. This team could be very, very good in my opinion. Just need some work and some good old fashioned luck. I responded to you because you had a realistic approach to the "problem." My post was a sarcastic calling out of the boo-birds among our fanbase.
