Our hitting is good to great, our first 2 starting pitchers are very good to great, the front line bull pen guys are being figure out and are solid.
Our challenge is game 3 of a series and any game 4 situation in a regional where our bullpen has been taxed and we have to go to the 2nd level guys out of the pin. The fall off has been dramatic and literally created DRAMA!
I'd say we are better than good in games 1 and 2 of any weekend series.

The longest losing streak they've had this season has been 1.

Very good with one major flaw. The season will come down to whether we can hide that flaw or it gets exposed

The longest losing streak they've had this season has been 1. Yea but, they've match that streak like 5 times already this season!

Sorry. This post was tongue in cheek. I know we are good. I know the strengths and weaknesses.
I was mainly poking fun at the few on here that feel like anything short of 50 wins and another NC is a failed season.

"2nd place is just first loser" Ricky Bobby "If you ain't first, you're last." -Reese Bobby Ricky Bobby : Wait, Dad. Don't you remember the time you told me "If you ain't first, you're last"? Reese Bobby : Huh? What are you talking about, Son? Ricky Bobby : That day at school. Reese Bobby : Oh hell, Son, I was high that day. That doesn't make any sense at all, you can be second, third, fourth... hell you can even be fifth. Ricky Bobby : What?? I've lived my whole life by that!!

I was mainly poking fun at the few on here that feel like anything short of 50 wins and another NC is a failed season. Expectations are high this season within the program, and within the fan base. We're doin pretty well considering the pitching we've lost. Fans who follow pretty closely are concerned about pitching depth for post season. It's a legitimate concern considering what we've seen on Sundays, and midweek so far.

I don't read as much of that as I do over inflated expectations based on meaningless rankings and an extremely limited set of data. It's a long season and the toughest part is yet to come as OSU's three series wins are versus some teams that very well might not make the Pac11 post season tourney.

I don't follow the rest of the league as closely as I used to. Is there a lack of dominant arms across the conference? Seems like you could always count on a couple UCLA & Stanford kids in particular and sprinkle in a few others. Are there some studs staring us down in the coming weeks in terms of opposing pitchers?
Looks like we still need to play #1, #3, #4 and #5 in terms of conference standings and will have played 8 thru 11 after this weekend.
