Trosky has proven the glove and arm are present for years against high level competition. The bat is always in question against high level competition. We will see, but he isn’t shy at the plate which is at least a good indicator. |

The Beavers have multiple options at SS with several guys that are legitimate PAC-12 shortstops.
With Dernedde and Trosky, you are playing the two best IF gloves on the team together on the left side.

We already took game 1, so a series split is the worst we can do. It also gives Gretler a chance to heal a little longer before Stanford this weekend. Gretler is important because Stanford has been starting left handers on Saturday & Sunday.(Quinn Matthews & Drew Dowd) |

Don't underestimate how much the altitude messes with a pitcher. Not just pscologically (worried about homers more), but spin, and therefore movement and location are affected a lot too.
