So far, none of the pitchers from the pen have demonstrated that they should see the mound on the weekend.

The season is more than 1/3 over. Pretty clear that there are no answers in the bullpen

Doh…I’m old and read Melton. If still take .315 with his OBP. 0-4 on Tuesday against Seattle made an impression on me. 1-6 on Sunday. 1-3 on Sat. 2-3 on Friday. I’ve seen him do better. 4 for 16 last week. With 4 walks. That’s a .500 OBP, which is outstanding for any lead off hitter.

Really with MC wouldn’t have thought this was in the bag and pulled Melton.

Pretty much is. That post a couple of weeks ago about our crappy bullpen was spot on. Our pitching is close to being terrible except Friday, and even that is not as dominant as it has been in the past.

This is disgusting. From going home with the 10 Run rule to this pitching debacle! 9 Runs in 1 inning! That would make anyone throw up!

Feels like we’ll need to score 16 to win it. Unbelievable.

Top of the seventh for the Beavers Forrester grounds out to second, one away Trosky base hit to right, one on Pitching change Smith flies out to center, two away Fuchs walks, Trosky to second Gretler flies out to left
12-11 Beavers into the stretch

Except Lattery, I think most of them are deep in the pen, only used midweek. Hell, we hadn’t even seen Boisvert before today. I doubt we’ll see him again this year.
