In other news more related to the thread title, Jarod is transferring to Nevada. Well, at least he left us for a basketball powerhouse. Ten more wins than Beavs and they beat Washington, something his old team couldn’t do in two tries.

Well, at least he left us for a basketball powerhouse. 10 conference championships in the past 25 years and two Sweet Sixteens. Plus, you get to be paid to live in Reno. I mean there are worse places to live and worse teams to play for.

Makes you wonder who's going to start in the backcourt next year now. Both starters from this season are gone.
Thank you Jarod, for the last 3 years. Hopefully in the end guys like him and Calloo are remembered much more for the elite 8 run than the debacle that was last season.
edit: I'll change this to include Gianni also is entering the portal since I was beaten to the punch.
A very minor point, but why do people say, “I want to thank…” instead of just saying, “My thanks to…” or “Thank you to…”? I mean, it’s nice that you want to thank someone, but it’s better if you actually thank them”.

Just speak that is used. Never know what He really thought. Maybe he should say I want to thank but I can’t. Just say bye.

At least he didn't say "that said". Seems to be the cookie cutter phrase for transfer portal announcements lately.

I mean, it’s nice that you want to thank someone, but it’s better if you actually thank them”. The phraseology tends to indicate that there is a "but" coming up. I want to thank you for helping me weed. But did you really have to salt the earth, so that nothing else will grow? I want to thank Oregon State University, Coach Tinkle and the Oregon State community and fans for their support. But I'm going to Reno. I want to thank you for this post. But I disagree with you 100%. Y'know, that sort of thing.

If you meant Lucas, I’m going to respectfully disagree. He was one of the ones who wasn’t an off the court issue. He was the only one to manage to play every game, he was our leading scorer, our best long shooter and there’s a reason he got better every year. We’re hardly a better team without a player like him.

The only player with a positive +/- this year was Roman Silva. The key issue was way too much attrition at the four and the five. Lucas was one of the best players last year and this year. He was not the primary problem. That said, it seemed like his attitude was a problem. He wants more and believes that he found it. Good luck to him.

No, there is no attitude problem according to "Broski". Even Helen Keller knows there was a problem with Lucas from the first day he stepped foot onto campus.
