You would think it would be Arkansas, if Musselman wants him. Given that's who he had at UNR when he started there. Arkansas is bringing in 3 6-9 transfers as well as the number 2 HS class. Not sure what they lost and maybe Musselman wants Warren for some upper class men leadership, but if playing time is what he’s looking for he might be better served somewhere else. Though he’d have a good chance of getting into tourney.

Arkansas just nabbed 6-9 Jalen Graham, transfer from ASU. Would be surprising if they’re still in on Washington.

Latest thing I've heard which is part of the issue (among MANY others) w/ Tinkle is he doesn't ever meet w/ players. He'll report about "meetings" but my source says that annoyed multiple players since there are never any meetings despite his claims. In fact only one of the transfers met w/ Tinkle after the season and the transfer had to call the meeting because he doesn't do any post season evals w/ the players.

So where’s your “source” getting this information. Why should we believe the disgruntled players over Tinkle?

I have a hard time believing WT doesn’t meet with the players after the season. Maybe he didn’t meet with some in the timeframe they wanted — maybe he knew a player(s) was going to transfer or was going to suggest it, so wasn’t a high priority. I’d rather have him looking for assistants and prioritizing meetings with those we want back.

Tinkle meets with the players after the season. Lucas join Washington at UNR? Did he just transfer there? He was in the portal a couple weeks ago.

Washington was at UNR, when I heard Lucas was transferring that was the first school that popped in my head. Washington has since hit the portal, neither has a new school yet as far as I've heard yet.

Look, if someone has a source that contradicts mine, then cool. But this wasn't sour grapes and then piling on. This was one of the reasons some of the players were annoyed in the first place. Not just talking about the portals guys. And I was asked to promise not to say who is telling me this is for obvious reasons. One of the players who claimed this complete absence of meetings w/ players was here multiple years and NOT one of the trouble makers. So it would seem like a strange thing to lie about.
Sure, we can all say we're certain he must meets w/ individual players and assume he does post season individual evals. But you may also be some of the same people who wouldn't have believed multiple players were allowed to skip allegedly mandatory workouts, cuss at Tinkle and assistants, fake injuries, get into fist fights in the locker room several times and refuse to run plays and refuse to re-enter games when they didn't want to.
This is a team that went from the elite 8 to the worst season in over a century of history. Do we really need to blame the source and act like bizarre things really didn't happen?

USC's 6-3 junior guard Ethan Anderson and 6-9 junior forward Max Agbonkpolo are heading to the University of Wyoming.

Not sure how OSU/WT can even be a factor in the portal unless it's the same type of contributors that showed last year. It'll be an interesting summer.

Since some want to blame the lack of money spent on basketball as to the reason for the beaver losing. Anybody have an idea on what Wyoming spends on basketball? I guess we weren't interested in either Anderson or Agbonkpolo because they just weren't good enough?

Their director of recruiting is from LA, has worked with LA-area AAU teams and also coached at Long Beach State, so he's pretty tied in to the Southland. He also coached at Fairfax High when Anderson played there.

So what you are saying is Tinkle was unable a year or two ago to get him as a coach because as we all know Wyoming is a destination all assistants strive for. I don't remember saying that at all. I said he had direct ties to Anderson and longstanding connections in the LA area, which sure helps when you're recruiting players from the LA area. According to his bio, the dude was hired as the recruiting coordinator last July after leaving Long Beach State. He's not an assistant coach. He came to Wyoming last July, when our staff was full and coming off an Elite 8 appearance. We didn't have an opening or envision the need for any changes, seeing as how the staff had been to the Elite 8 in 2021 and was 20-13, and was 18-13 in 2020 and 18-13 in 2019. Hey, we sucked last year. Things have to get better. If they don't, we'll be changing coaches. But some of you guys really have to stretch to paint Tinkle in a negative light in every single post.

Not true! It’s not much of a stretch.
