LH Melton finally gets the measure of the (now trted) right hander White. And now Cal brings in a LH to face red-hot RH batting Boyd. |

He was throwing very hard all night. 106 pitches when 60% were high effort is a big ask. Reliever has 3 wild pitches and 5 walks on 7 innings. Could be rough. |

Wild pitch, Meckler scores with Melton third and Boyd on 2nd. Forrester walks (OBP King) with Bazanna up. That’s a lot of speed in the diamond for the beavs.
They talk for awhile but leave Stamos in. Their bullpen warming up in a hurry.

Stamos has thrown like 10 in the dirt, does he hate worms or something?
Fuches gets an RBI on fielders choice. Runners on 1st and 3rd for Gretler. 2 outs with a new pitcher coming in.
Basera has 11H, 11k and 2BB on the season. Hasn’t allowed a run yet on the season. Looks like a max effort guy that really fills up the zone.

This game is reminding me how fortunate we are to have a really reliable bullpen. I think Mitch’s solid recruiting is starting to show up in many respects and that’s one of them. He hasn’t been perfect in decision making (last year was goofy AF) but he gets talent. |
