First of all, the players themselves have been saying "Omaha or bust". And second, I don't recall anyone on here saying this team is "Omaha bound." There are high expectations, but getting to Omaha takes a lot of pieces coming together. I think most of us understand that. The last few games have been disappointing, but I think the overreaction is that we have an unfixable issue with our pitching. Thats an insult to our staff, and the coaches. First of ALL - and the Last and Only thing that really matters: The players had darn-well better be saying "Omaha or Bust!" Imagine if the attitude was instead: "We sure hope to have a good season" ....or.... "Our goal is to reach the post-season!" ....or... "Gosh, I think if we play to our potential, we might get a Regional HOST slot!" I get ur point. But there was a buzz around the program that these guys truly think they are an Omaha team....there's a difference between a program like ours feeling like that vs a program who has less talent but of course "feels" like they can get to Omaha. |

Yea, nobody would say that. OmahaOk Eugenedave said it.....kinda The only thing I'm commiting to is this is the best team we've had since the '18 team. |

Tomorrow should be interesting. Sundays, and midweeks are where the questions arise, obviously. Nice thing is, success is contagious. The guys that need to step up, know they need to step up. I'm betting they will. This team is pretty special, including the coaching staff. |

Sebby is one of the key guys obviously. Good stuff and command usually. His big problem has been the occasional fastball that finds the middle of the plate. The first batter he faced yesterday with the game still on the line may have been his best showing as a Beaver. A bunch of breaking balls that just nibbled at the edges. Very nice.

He had work to do, and he did it, in a pressure situation. Right.....I watched it, and he did well. He's prolly our best middle relief. My point was overall, with the quality starts our pen isn't taxed as much.....and let's be honest ASU looks like the worst team in the conference so far, as the their record also reflects. |
