I said in an earlier post that I was hoping we would get a lot of scoring from the younger players, and although Greta had a couple really nice baskets and good moves, and AJ had a nice basket, it was the two bigs who provided the scoring. Jelena was 6-6 shooting and 14 points in 10 minutes of play, and Kennedy had one of her best games and played like a warrior out there. All 4 of them gave us an insight to what we hope to see more of next year.
I'd love to see a few more games so they can continue to get experience playing tough teams in a tournament setting.

Aquino sporting a sharp plaid suit on the sidelines. Yes, I know this has nothing to do with basketball. But I like to see Andrea looking good.

KB with a 15/12 line. I don’t recall her being the leading scorer in a game before… really like seeing that. a great game from Kennedy. And double digit rebounds as well. She controlled the game when we needed her to.

Ellie scoring through a lot of contact. Beavs up 4. Really going to miss that next year, hope someone else fills that role.

The stat line says 6-6. I'm pretty sure she missed at least one close-in where she was fouled and converted her 2 shots. I must have missed something. Play by play says she was fouled on an offensive rebound and subsequently hit 2 free throws. But that was early (8:43) in 4Q. No way we were in the bonus. Whether it's 6-6 or 6-7, either is pretty good efficiency. 14 points in 10 minutes is productive. I think we'll see her spike into some 20 point games next season with additional strength and confidence.

It doesn't count as a shot attempt if you are fouled--unless it goes in of course and you get the and-1.

Your post wasn't worth more effort. Ha Ha so like your opinion of Talia!! What a joke. You’re probably sorry they won to prove your point. Go Beavs Scanning thru your other 170 or so posts. This sort of makes sense for you. But, none what so ever! How does a critique, questioning what's going on with a player have ANYTHING to do with losing a game? Let alone me wanting them to lose? And, scan back and let me know if you find any posts where I've wanted the Beavers to lose. Again... best reply truly was blah blah blah

Whoever did the prep for this game needs a good spanking.
Gee, they are a bad 3 point shooting team so lets stand back and let them shoot the 3. That makes no sense and they got burned. LBS wasn't going to be able to score inside on OSU so why take the chance they could hit the outside shot? And no boxing out in that 1st quarter. Losing the rebound battle to LBS in the that quarter is absurd. Fortunately they tossed the scout by the 2nd quarter and just played ball and they got the run away win.
Brown scored twice on nifty moves that reminded me of Jones, and she only missed one wide open lay up and played some outstanding defense. She only got two blocks because they just stopped trying to score against her.
Once again Talia was one of the top three defenders according to sb analytics. She's been one of the top three defenders according to them in every game that I've checked this season. What an outstanding defender!!!!
Now those three passes inside that kept getting her yanked. Not sure how TVO thought anyone could get them. Maybe if Mit was a 12 footer and had really long arms?
People are starting to figure out that Mack has become another major scorer for the Beav's. The easy points are getting fewer for her.
I liked how LBS kept driving inside against Mannen thinking "I can score against this shorty" and then finding Brown or Mit waiting and turning around and going back outside.

According to the WNIT bracket, we play the winner of Colorado State and U of Portland.
