I appreciate interesting tidbits and colorful stories, However, I listen to follow the game. It's annoying to hear the sound of the bat or noise of the crowd and then have to wait until a side story is finished to hear, what just happened. Josh does an excellent job keeping the game foremost.

Worden over Parker for me at this point. Appreciate all Parker has done, and his voice will always bring back fond memories of the Fiesta Bowl run, the Elite 8 run, the trips to Omaha, etc....but I don't think he's the same announcer he was ten or maybe even five years ago. I'd prefer to turn the page, and I think we could do much worse than Worden. I'd hate for him to move on and become the voice of some other team when we had him here in our backyard.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. But MP is an outstanding 3-sport announcer, and you haven't even heard this kid call Football or Basketball. Yea, I don't know about that. Maybe groom Worden to take over for Parker when he's done. Worden is good. Parker is a legend, imo. It's all about the big moments. Granted I didn't listen to much of Worden's coverage in Surprise, but I did hear a total of a game or so......he's a little boring at this point. He needs to show more excitement when a big play happens, imo. |

Yeah, Worden is extremely competent, but I like just a little homerism in my announcers. The walk-off grand slam in the season opener was called with the same level of emotion as a 2-out single. I'll take Parker's energy any day...

The argument shouldn't be Worden vs Parker, it should be Worden vs Warren. Can we all agree that the early season broadcasts have seen a tremendous improvement professionally, befitting a program of our stature?
