Maybe I have missed it, but I am surprised someone hasn't commented on our new "fill-in" announcer Josh Worden.
I think he is doing an OUTSTANDING job!
He actually understands the game and seems to be doing a great job waiting just long enough during the play-by-play to explain what happens without talking too fast/skipping over important details of each play.
Curious what your thoughts are???

Yeah, you missed it. We were singing his praises in the first and second games, I think. Big step up. He has a good voice and seems to have a decent understanding of baseball and the program. Easy to listen to.

I'm hearing his PBP is much cleaner than Parker's ? Define cleaner. Parker has his style. He is emotional, for better or for worse. I have a hard time listening to him when we are losing, especially football games. And he has his stories and anecdotes that he uses to fill the time. Some are cute, many are obscure, especially for younger audiences. They do add color though. I think Worden is great and if he continues, he will get better and better. I like his style and his voice. I can listen and pretty much understand what’s going on in the game. That’s what I want. If they are grooming him to replace Parker, I’m OK with that. |

I'm more used t0 the old style of "2 to nothing". Josh keeps saying "2 to zero". Guess I'll have to adjust. Other than that, he's doing a fantastic job.

He's good. Much better feel for the game than Warren. If I had one criticism it's I'd like to hear more animation in big moments......but at least he doesn't make u feel like a routine fly ball is gonna be a home run, like Warren.

Made it easy to listen and came across as very professional- his preparation showed. |
