Wondering, are the Beavs really good or just very good?..........after enduring the basketball season, I'm happy to read the opinions in this debate!!! Go Beavs!! OK, which kid on the court is yours? I thought only family could endure the Beaver Basketball team this year. |

Don't forget about Lawson. His stuff is good. Should get innings of middle relief.
The forearm tightness, if that's true, is concerning for Frisch.
So what's up with Mundt?

Forearm tightness has been a issue for a couple months and has gotten bad enough to warrant concern. Mundt is a big enough loss. Another would be very concerning. |

Kmatz throws two breaking balls, one is a slider with good horizontal and vertical movement, the other is a 12-5 shaped slower curve. Dorman called that pitch regularly and may have wanted to get a good look at it in a game situation. It needs work, Jacob starts that pitch up in the zone breaking it down to the middle. It was hit hard and 4 or 5 of the six hits he allowed were on that pitch. Start it middle and break it down low in the zone. His fastball was 90-91 with good life. Didn't walk or hit anybody. He's a freshman, he'll improve with every appearance.

I regret to inform you that Joey Mundt is having TJ surgery and will miss the season! First body blow. 4 games in. That's disappointing but he wasn't on the roster, they must have known this was going to happen. Leaving Frisch on the roster is hopefully a good sign. |

Mundt is still listed on the roster. Looks as though he is still on the team. He was in surprise...maybe not in the dugout but there. The coaches have said there are guys with some injuries...maybe Mundt is one of those guys |

I did see him up on the rail of the dugout yesterday. I also noticed Micah McDowell was in Suprise but I did not see him play. Maybe he is knicked up as well?

With the first weekend in the books, this is how OSU is fairing in the conference - 1st in Batting Average
- 1st in On Base Percentage
- 1st in Hits
- 1st in Runs
- 1st in Triples
- 1st in RBI
- 2nd in Stolen Bases
- 3rd in Slugging
- 3rd fewest Strikeouts
- 4th Doubles
In pitching - 2nd in Strikeouts
- 3rd in ERA
- 4th in K/9
Unfortunately, they're last in hits issued and 8th in walks issued.
And yeah, its against New Mexico and Gonzaga, but everyone else is playing mid majors (save for Arizona, and Stanford had Fullerton). And its a neat thing to look at.

Sounds like there are other injured players, there has always been a level of secrecy with this program. |

They have to be careful about injury disclosure or any comment on the injury. University policy - legal exposure I think.
