Mitrovic has improved several aspects of her game this season. But to me, the two most impressive leaps she has made are in rebounding and delivering her outlet passes quickly and on target. Her offense still has a long ways to go, but she is proving to be more and more of an asset to the team. Her presence in the paint is also becoming more effective. Yesterday was the first time I have EVER seen her use her lower body as a defensive weapon - and it was nice to see. At any rate, I believe she is improving in gradual progressions (not by leaps and bounds) and that is a good sign for the Beavs. GO BEAVS!! True that! Jelena's confidence is growing, and the rest of the team is learning how best to utilize her on offense. The touch pass by Ellie Mack to Jelena and resulting lay-in was a thing of beauty. Jelena is doing a great job of changing shots, and having strong hands on her rebounds. Jelena looks much more agile than last season. And Jelena is only a freshman.

With surpass Brown rather quickly and should start. Momma Brown will give a earful to Scott if that happens. She micromanages her childs basketball life more than the average parent.

After watching the first half of Sunday's game live and then watching the second half on DVR later that night, I have great appreciation for TvO's approach in the first half and patience shown during the second half as she willed her team to a critical win against its in-state conference rival. She showed offensive maturity beyond her years to allow the shots to come to her during the second half rather than attempting to outshoot and outscore Oregon by herself.
TVO put together a 23/12 double-double and achieved her point total on only 10 field goal attempts. A player more obsessed with scoring may have attempted to force shots during the second half after carrying her team to a 10-point lead at the break. TvO didn't do that. After being sat by Rueck during the stretch for apparently going off script and hoisting poor shots out of the offense on Friday night, TvO played as efficient a game as I've seen from her against a quality opponent and has kept her team's hopes alive for a NCAA tourney bid.
We all know that TvO is not afraid to shoot. She was born to score. She showed me on Sunday that she can lead and play efficiently by getting her teammates involved when they need to be. She really appears to value winning and takes her team's losses hard. That is what the best players of the OSU WBB program have done over the past decade. I think that TvO showed me more in taking fewer shots in the second half on Sunday than I thought I knew about her game.

TVO has been the most fun aspect of the Beavs game in recent weeks. The game on Sunday, and the 4th quarter play in both the UCLA and USC games are about as much fun to watch as a fan can expect. TVO can take ANYONE to the hoop, and pop the 3 from almost ANYWHERE. She has a nice mid-range shot as well and I expect next season we will see a bit more of the screen action we watched so much of from Aleah last season. I'm not really expecting those 12 rebound games to continue, but I am wondering if we do see overall increased rebounding from her as she experiences, and comes to understand, the Pac12 game.
TVO may have a few rough edges and growing pains, but the truth is she is the best talent I've seen in Corvallis in years. If she stays another 3 years, we're going to have some very good seasons and have a lot of fun watching her take it to the competition.

If TvO is playing a wing vs PG, then I do expect her to have Pivec like rebounding stats. I rewatched the Sunday game at UO, and TvO attacks the boards like Mik. TvO has much more freedom when she is not the primary ball handler. And thankful that Emily Codding has found her role as our primary PG so TvO can be TvO.

Mitrovic is a post brown is a 4 playing 5 so this just means if Rueck starts Mitrovic at post brown moves to 4.
