I'm at a loss to explain Rueck's affection for Codding. Three wide open three's that the Ducks hit were from her losing the person she was guarding, and another was her guarding the wrong person.
Talia, Taya, and Mack made a valiant effort, but they needed one other person to help with scoring. Brown is making great strides with her inside game. But it's too late in the season to make the difference.
It was a bit annoying to see Sabally keep hammering her way inside and then get the foul called on the defense each time. She's very good, but she also gets away with a lot.

“I wasn’t happy with what I thought was a dangerous play..."
I have no idea what SR is saying in the post game? There was some chest to shoulder bumping. Foul? Sure. Or not. But, dangerous?
It wasn't a breakaway. There was no elevation. There was no cut, or contact below. Wasn't even enough to cause TC to veer off course.
Dangerous?

You really are unable to admit when you are wrong aren't you? Wrong? About? WTF lol... Someone talks about fouls being called and you babble about what happened with the lead. This is what you always do. If someone says it's a fast car you counter with you fool, the rivers are GREEN. How could you be so stupid?

How could you be so stupid? To see "stupid" you should look first at the post I quoted. Then read it carefully. Then read this response. Then ask how I was "wrong" and need to admit such? Then look in the mirror. Let me help you: Initial post... fouls being called? What? Lol "TVO was 1 assist short of a triple double and was benched for the last 3-4 crucial minutes of the game--(except for a short 20 sec. stint in the last min. & then right back on the bench for the final 30 seconds)--what the heck was that all about??.....Did the coach not want to win this game?....Did he not want her to get the triple-double?....this reminds me of what the coach used to do to Destiny Slocum late in the 4th quarter of crucial games during her last season here....If he is not careful about this TVO will be the next one in the transfer portal!....Can anyone enlighten me on why he benched TVO here?" My quote: "According to some from the Furd game, saving her for Sunday! Lol Just like the connecting the temper tantrum with an OSU run. Ucks increased their lead to 14 the 2+ min after the T. The run to cut/take the lead took place the last 2 min of the qtr. 3+ min later. So, I'm guessing the unsportsmanlike T took a while to take effect??" Can you admit being wrong? Being angry person in general? Drunk? A bit of each?

The Beavs gave up way too many open looks at the basket. I was at the game. Our defense was slow getting to their shooters. That hurt us most in my opinion. I was at the game too and agreed what you said. SR needs to recruit a real point guard that can protect the ball and more speed players. Too many slow players, hard to catch up opponent’s speed. Hope that SR can see the problems and recruit the right players. He is 0-4 since new extension contract with 2 next possible losses against ucks and Stanford.

This from Oregonlive: Rueck was hit with a technical foul after what he thought was non-call and a dangerous play. After getting little satisfaction from the official, Rueck walked away, turned to the Gill Coliseum crowd and began motioning his arms, asking for noise. Rueck insists he wasn’t trying to fire up his team. “I wasn’t happy with what I thought was a dangerous play. It’s my job. I’m hired to coach and protect this team,” Rueck said. I just watched the replay again and it is laughable to say it was a "dangerous" play. I am thinking between the recent Ts he has gotten, encouraging the crowd to boo the refs and trying to justify his behavior by "embellishing" the truth, he may be feeling the pressure of living up to his new contract and the possibility of his first losing season in years...

In Eugene, you get a bronze statue if you score a triple-double. Just sayin... The girl we recruited from Iowa, Catlin Clark, has broken Oregons Eneskoo triple Double guard national record. She has five for Iowa. Yes Talia had some great stats tonight. 9 assist 12 rebounds and 12 points. Pretty dang good!

Post of the day, agree with everything you said jimbob. Should of have had TVO in to get that triple double. Hard to do and no one has done it in a beaver uniform on the womens team since 2016. So yes, it did not make sense at that point.
Triple doubles leaders for this season in womens basketball:
Caitlin Clark Iowa, 5
Haley Cavinder, Fresno St. 3
Khayla Pointer, LSU 2
Jeanae Terry, Purdue 2
and 21 other players with 1 for this year.
Haley Jones, Stanford has 1 for the only Pac-12 player.

I am thinking between the recent Ts he has gotten, encouraging the crowd to boo the refs and trying to justify his behavior by "embellishing" the truth, he may be feeling the pressure of living up to his new contract and the possibility of his first losing season in years... Yeah that was a corny response. The part .....I am hired to protect this team.
He has been well known for years as one of the coaches in the Pac-12 that was above all of that "extra activity" stuff for lack of better words. Kind of makes you cringe a little bit and if anyone else said that we would be all over them. I get he is probably frustrated at this point in the season but at times he does not seem like the Scott of old. My more observant wife thinks he is burned out but I am not sure it is that.
As a side note what Gravey said before the game on O-live:
“I don’t think anybody does a better job maybe this side of Stanford in execution in the half court,” Graves said. “They know who they are. They run their stuff really, really well. They space the floor. They seem to always get it to the right person at the right time. They’ve got a mix of playmakers like Talia and a bunch of shooters with a good inside attack as well.
“They don’t beat themselves. They play great defense. They don’t force many turnovers; they don’t really force the tempo but they make you play to their style. It’s always a real chess match. I think Scott (Rueck) is one of the best coaches in the conference and he’s obviously going to have them ready.”
Okay, two things that stood out here that has been pointed out on this board for weeks now: Every coach, especially in the pac-12 knows about the half court offense and the designed sets run in this half court offense. Two, simplly force the tempo if you play OSU.

Lots of opinions. No one is happy. Scot has a problem. I did not even follow it last Night. Toast. Tired of the rehashing, same results and little change in results. 15-6 is silly. Toast folks. He needs to change and I sadly think some will be transferring out.

In the minutes before she was benched at the end of the game, TVO was responsible for 2 turnovers, including one in which she passed to a teammate being triple teamed, and put up a couple really poor shots. We couldn’t afford any more of that at that point in the game so I believe that’s why she was benched.

A few things 1. We are not a quick/fast team. 2. We are not aggressive on defense which is probably due to #1. 3. We played pretty well without a big in a more freelance offense in the 3rd. 4. We were done when the ducks put both bigs in at the same time in the 4th. 5. Scott needs to go with the freshman and give them some experience. 6. Our ball handling/passing is not good. 7. Without a true point guard and assuming no one transfers thisc team is going to have quite a few wing/shooting guard type of players. 8. Finally Scott needs to have a better excuse for why he got a T. There was a foul but The excuse was embarrassing

We outshot them 43% to 36%. OSU 10 3 pointers to 7 UO, 40% to 35%. 10 FTs to their 17. 2 to Technicals and 5 fouls in final 48 seconds of the game. Reb even 38-39. Assists 20 to 15. Fouls 19-15. TO 15-6. Even up the turnovers and we beat them. A good performance for the Beavs.
