Ok I get it its taboo to criticize the team or the coach because next year will be better. But its not trending that way. The teams pac12 record since 2016-17 is 16-2, 14-4, 14-4, 10-8, 7-6, 4-4. A fan shouldn't be concerned about that? I dare say every year we have had a bright shining star or more to look at to right the ship. Maybe this next year is the year. Maybe. Seeing that makes a casual fan wonder why a 3 year extension was warranted. But I guess if you’re Coach Rueck, the trend is your friend!

I like following the wbb program. They are fun to watch, have elite talent and expect to win. I hope that continues, and I like to commiserate with those that also enjoy watching their success, and would be pained to seem then drift to mediocrity.
Those that have lost faith in the program don’t post their pessimism - they simply leave in apathy, which is where the mens program is buried again. I actually see the angst as respect to where the program has been.

Only time will tell, but I think sales will be higher in 2022-23 than 2021-22.

Ticket sales will be higher next year for the simple reason that masks and proof of vaccine won't be required.

Ticket sales will be higher next year for the simple reason that masks and proof of vaccine won't be required. That is true. Some think tickets will rebound to previous high levels. They don’t realize that with any fan base there is a certain number of fans that don’t jump on board until they see a “show me first record” That is just the way it is.

Btw, California mask mandate ends February 15. Actual science coming to forefront. Glad this all could be better soon!

First: I'd like to thank all the clever, purposefully slow popcorn nibblers for spewing Covid aerosols.
Second: A great effect of a possible drop in ticket sales: the athletic department could then reconfigure women's game seating to include a dedicated student section. Even the 3-17 men's team enjoys a thousand, massed, energetic students courtside. Too often, our women's crowd feels like guest musician day at a nursing home (though we're all awake at Gill!).

First: Why would you assume I have Covid just because I eat my popcorn slowly? Second: Is there a big enough demand from students for women's basketball tickets to open up an entire section for them? I don't go to many women's games so I don't know where they put the students that do come. If there is, and sales drop, it's not a bad idea.

This just baffles my mind. A student section would be a huge lift, imo, though I have never been sure of how many students actually attend. I want a loud, mouthy, dedicated student section on the floor level.
