To preface this post, I am diehard Beavs fan. For the past 4 years I cannot tell you how many fouls I have seen called against the Beavs but not on the opposing team in the same circumstance. Again, I am a Beavs fan so don't crucify me but I think SR finally reached the saturation point and gave the officiating crew a piece of his mind. All Pac12 officials suck and are Busch league at best.

I have watched basketball a long time never seen that either. Technical is 2 shots. Kenedys bump a 1 and 1. Then technical is ball out.refs had to have invented something I’ve never witnessed. Nothing was invented. Each technical by Rueck provided ASU with two free throw attempts. The common foul accounted for the remaining two of the six free throws that Taya Hanson converted to ice the game with 17.2 seconds to play. If I remember correctly, Rueck similarly imploded in 2019 late in a road loss to Arizona State and was ejected as well with two technicals that sealed his team's fate. Deja vu all over again. Anyone else remember that Rueck ejection?

Typical 18% from 3 point range but at least we added being terrible at the free throw line too: 46% Team was good enough on the defensive side of the ball but as usual shot it bad from the field and free throw line. Also not to mention the turnovers. Ball security doesn't seem to be a priority. It's been lousy for the last few years. Overall not trending the right direction. Good, but not great. Loville was also making some difficult, contested three point shots. In terms of execution down the stretch, this was much more like Arizona than Colorado/USC, bad decisions and a few defensive lapses. FT shooting, 3PT shooting, and turnovers did us in. Taya played great defense and had a solid all around game, but she needs to be a consistent scorer, especially with Jones out. I really do wish Scott would go with Greta over Emily. Greta is generally a good decision maker and I trust her knocking down shots far more than I do Emily.

Typical 18% from 3 point range but at least we added being terrible at the free throw line too: 46% Turnovers and periodic poor free throw shooting have been a recurring theme for several years...but now add poor 3 point shooting and you have a real recipe for losing. Also, Kampschroeder and Codding have been underperforming...I expect more from an AA, even as a freshman, and Codding just doesn't add much, despite all that experience. Sad, but with Taylor out for good the rest of the season, i guess this will be yet another "rebuilding" year.

Rueck was given a double technical. Here’s my take on that. I don’t even know why he could have gotten a technical. The two plays leading up to that were a pass down low to Ellie who got visibly pushed out of bounds. So her shot was way off and Kennedy wrestled for the ball with another player going for it too. However Kennedy contact was nothing push wise from the girl who pushed Ellie? That was a very obvious effort to push her! I can’t see much cuz the camera wasn’t on Rueck but it’s hard to here him when he speaks in front of a mic? Very strange ending to this game. A lot of repercussions also. When Ellie got caught directly under the basket with no where to go, Rueck , standing right beside the official, tried to call timeout. Then the turnover occured and the ensuing personal foul. Rueck was then screaming at the official, claiming he should have been given the timeout, thus the Tech, then the 2nd Tech. He had every right to be upset by the no call. Once again a very poorly officiated game. The Bigs, on both teams, were called time and time again for just standing still with both hands up in the air. Its impossible to contest a shot if they call it that way. Free throws and turnovers once again cost the Beavs a winnable game.

Maybe little napoleon shouldn’t be such a hot head. Arguing about a timeout isn't going to get you a change of the call. Your team was down two with over 17 sec left. Your job is to give your team an opportunity to win. Watched replay over and over... there was no timeout called with possession. SR and the referee in front/next to him had zero view of the exact time possession was lost, even if a timeout was called. When CTT is the calmest coach on the court something's wrong with your coach!

It was still a 2 point game at that point. Scott ended it with his tantrum.

Scott indicated he called time out. Replay shows he was standing right next to a ref when he did and she did nothing. After Mack got hammered earlier and Missy Barlow’d, can’t say I blame him for being hot. That's BS... watch the replay. SR couldn't even see. He's bouncing up and down trying to see. The ref next to him has 5 players between her and a player with her back to the court... with/without the ball. Can't guess on possession. OSU and SR choked this away. SR lost his composure in an embarrassing way. Then arrogantly acted like he didn't know he received 2 T's. Happens to many coaches. But this wasn't on referees.

I blame this on the Arena. The way CTT and Hurley act, SR was obviously possessed by the arena.

And you have a lead late, turnover doesn't kill you, and ASU doesn't shoot 8 FTs. No conspiracy.

A couple times. And I watched after the technicals were called when the 3 refs were standing together and Scott’s telling them he called a timeout.
