Rumor has it they only have six players because a PG had a knee injury against Arizona and may not make the trip. Anyone hear more?

The oregon - ucla game tomorrow is postponed. Everyone knows non of the teams in the conference are going to make up all their games this year. They are running out of weeks to do so unless something gives on the other end to push things out. And some teams need every game they can get.

I just don't understand how or why games are postponed because of injury, should be a forfeit.

The UCLA press release doesn't specify a reason for the cancellation so people are just guessing that it's due to the Bruins not having the minimum 7 players available. But it should be noted that even after Osborne went down with an injury during Wednesday's game vs. Arizona they still had 7 players to finish the game. So even if Osborne remains unavailable they should not have to postpone any games.
However, UCLA was extremely protective as far as cancelling games last season due to a reported lack of available players. Even when it seemed like they had at least the minimum 7 players they sometimes found a way to cancel games, and I believe the cancellations were always due to injury and not covid. So they could easily report that one of their remaining 7 players has not been cleared to play Friday. For example Masikewich is coming off a two-year rehab and was just cleared to play on Wednesday, when she came in for one minute, and they could say the trainer advises against her playing again within a couple of days.
Bottom line is we don't know the status of Sunday's game. Maybe the Bruins will say Masikewich (or whoever) can play again on Sunday so game on. After all, if it were a clear case of extended unavailability they would have just cancelled both games right now.

I forgot about last year issues and what they did and at times and it irked some here. Some of their cancellations seemed strange and seemed injury related like you said.

I confess I haven't been paying too much attention. Can somebody run down why UCLA has so few players available? Who's out? What's the reason? How long are they out for? (Those last 2 questions assume UCLA actually keeps the public up to date on such things, unlike the Oregon State program.)
Thanks in advance.

If it is Covid related aren't you out 5 days minimum isolated? That puts it past Sundays game. If your out because shortage of players for Sunday that should be a forfeit win. Can't think of another reason why there would be a game on Sunday. Would anyone take a forfeit at this point? Hmmm?

Maybe UCLA thinks they will probably lose to UO so since they've got a viable excuse they canceled that game, but they probably think they can beat OS so they stay home and scout the heck out of OS against USC Fri. night, and then come up and play the game against OS despite being short-handed.

ESPN reports the UCLA Oregon game as a forfeit. They stated at Gill tonight that Sunday's game is still on, so, obviously, UCLA hasn't forfeited yet. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
I don't understand why Close wouldn't have found some walk-ons weeks ago, so she could at least be assured of putting a team on the floor.
