On Taya- Her blocks have doubled and her fouls have dropped to a half of what they were last season. Overall, along with Brown and Jones, she gives the Beav's an great interior defense. Also Taya's rebounding has significantly improved this year. She is not going to be a prolific scorer, but in Rueck's system that is more the post and the guards jobs. Hard to blame her for what she isn't supposed to be doing. I disagree that Rueck’s system is built for scoring to come from specific positions. I see it as built to get players in positions that put the defense in disadvantaged positions for offensive-minded players to take advantage, anywhere on the court. I’m sure he’d have no problem with Taya being our leading scorer if she was capable of that. I agree that he doesn’t want her trying to do what she’s not able to do though, and I don’t see her suddenly being able to go for say 36 like Gulich developed into her game. The reality is that this team is limited offensively, and while our interior starters are very good defenders, they are also our upperclassmen. So if they don’t a majority of the scoring, they force that responsibility onto freshman guards - and that generally isn’t a recipe for success.

Good move by OSU WBB Coaches. Not that there were a lot of options, but Tea is the obvious choice as primary Point Guard. Doesn't mean others won't assume the PG role at times during a contest, but Tea is clearly our best PG option for OSU.

I agree with lotrader and am pleased that Rueck has made this adjustment prior to PAC-12 play. It takes a lot of pressure off Talia. We must remember that Talia would be a true freshman absent the unique circumstances associated with last season. Adams has shown she can protect and value the basketball, allowing her to find her teammates for open looks.

I think Tea values assisting (creating). She has had several turnovers, as well as several other guards. I enjoy her quickness and I hope she demonstrates the balance between creating the offense and being the offense. GO BEAVS.

I enjoy her quickness and I hope she demonstrates the balance between creating the offense and being the offense. GO BEAVS. This year's squad simply isn't a good passing team when the Assist-to-Turnover ratio statistic is analyzed. To date, the team has an A:T ratio barely north of 1.0. Adams' numbers get the Beavs over that low benchmark. Without her numbers, the Beavs would be an even worse passing team. How far back do we have to go to find an OSU WBB team with a lower A:T than the '21-'22 team has to date? The Beavs need to value the basketball more than it has shown during the nonconference schedule or there will be some bad losses to programs that the Beavs have owned in recent years.

I value the assist to FG made more than assist to t.o.
