Great way to build a fan community. Seats either go vacant or there are different people sitting in them every game--people talking on their cellphones. That is what drove us out of the club section years ago. Oh well, as long as cheap seats remain available for those of us who come to watch football rather than for an "Experience." For some people who enjoy the game, the game itself is actually enough. It's now about revenue, and filling the expensive seats which osu has for 2023. The amount of revenue made off the premium seats( 680 approx) is likely more than they made off the whole West side last year. They aren't as interested as joe lunch box or the family of 4-5 getting into the stadium at a cheap price. That doesn't pay the bills. p You can get 4 season tickets for $155 per seat in the end zone. That’s not bad. The season tickets on the new side are overpriced though.

I think if you dig deep enough, the average joe can find a seat in the stadium at a reasonable price. No they aren't great seats or sideline seats like you could once get to watch a horrible program in yesteryear. There are some people who want the premium West side seats and are willing to pay big bucks for them. I know one person, and it isn't going to put a dent in his net worth. 6.3 million dollars for the premium seats a year is a welcome addition to the athletic department.

Overpriced? Let's see how many are sold before saying that. More expensive than before? No doubt. Too rich for my blood? Yes. But if they are sold, then there's a market for them, and they're not overpriced.
I see the cost of a first-class airline ticket and think, "Wow, that's way out of line." But first class is full on every flight I take, so I guess it's not.
I won't pay for a first-class airline ticket. I will sometimes pay an extra $35 or so to sit closer to the front, or on an aisle, of a cross-country or PDX-Chicago flight, instead of sitting in rows 25-36. Anything less than three hours, I bite the bullet and sit in steerage.
The more you pay, the better your seat. There are still "affordable" options at Reser. But we're never going back to the Bi-Mart 2x1 days, that's for sure.

Are they painting the 3rd deck white or laying something down on it??
Also, I wonder if people will be able to sit in the bowl seats for the spring game in April?

I would say - no sitting but tours are scheduled on spring game day.

Anybody have info on the 'white stuff' being installed on the upper deck? Is an undercoating, or part of a multi-step coating process? I can't see the white staying white for very long once there are butts in seats and drinks et all spilled everywhere.. I think it is a weather proofing membrane similar to a rubber which is adhered to the steel. Then there will be an overlay of an adhesive which will be covered by a sandy aggregate to make it a nonslip surface. The final aggregate will determine the color. It’s usually a gray color.

I'll bet those workers will be thrilled when it finally warms up a bit and stops raining. Or hailing, like this afternoon.

Stadium is coming along nicely. Very upright will make it really loud. In three months,we will have a very nice stadium 38k approx finished mostly that will be a terrific home field advantage
