I think they win this game by double digits with Aleah. Which would have allowed Talia to do her thing without having to worry about running the offense. How much would we won by with Sydney Wiese? 30+

Let me see, why did Oregon State lose? Rebounding? no, rebounding was fairly close but in OSU's favor. Percent shooting (overall)? no, it was fairly close. Percent shooting 3 pointers? no, it was fairly close. Assists? no, OSU had a lot more asists. Freethrow shooting? yes, OSU only shot 55% Turnovers? yes, OSU had 23 to only 15 for Michigan. So, OSU lost mostly because of freethrow shooting and turnovers. Sound familiar? The more things change, the more things stay the same. I got to watch the replay tonight courtesy of a friends login and agree on the poorish FT shooting and TO's but the biggest reason we lost that game is that by my count we missed 13 point blank shots!.....combo of layins and put-backs and post shots especially by KB.....sure there was some pressure but they should have made 6 or 7 of those misses at least....I think they need to make it a point in every practice to work on these shots under duress and toughen themselves up! Also hurting us were too many rushed wild 3 point attempts by our 3 freshman.....2 airballs and other attempts not even close, although Talia finally got it going late with 2 nice 3's. And TJ with 4 fouls and on the bench too long and KB also saddled with 4 fouls most of the 4th quarter before fouling out didn't help matters. Bottom line is coming out of this game even though we lost I thought we were the better team and if we re-match with this team later in the year come tournament time we will beat them.

May be a stretch to say I'm encouraged from this game, but I am. First BIG game for many players on this team, and it showed. Freshmen looked like freshmen tonight, but had some decent moments. Tea got a lot of minutes at the point, and right now, Tea Adams is our best point guard. Tea needs these minutes. Kennedy and Taya are unbelievable defensive players. Naz Hillmon was not the force she is in every other game, and Kennedy made her change her shots, or just capped her numerous times. Taya was also great defensively. So, not discouraged about our defense, it is actually pretty solid at this stage of the season. Our offense is another story. If you consider all the "new" players, and "young" players, this sort of performance makes sense against a veteran team. We will get better. Need more time with each other. Perhaps we will see a better performance against the Irish. Have to limit the turnovers, and make a few more lay-ups. GO BEAVS!

Didn’t see the game but I think Taylor needs more attempts if they hope to win many this year.

I likewise didn't watch the game, but followed it closely during the second half via Live Stats. Jones needs more than 4 shots from the field. I recognize the foul trouble issues, but the young guards need to look for Jones whenever they penetrate. The last two games have resulted in Jones being an afterthought on the offensive end.

I'm not that smart about these things but watching the game it appears Taylor was open, alone under the basket a few times, maybe the guards were to harassed to pass to her, but it sure looked like they could on at least a couple possessions. I'd like to her from folks more savvy than me that watched the game.

Taylor’s opportunities to play are not limited by her lack of shooting

FWIW Michigan about to give Mississippi St. their first loss of the year. 64-48 w/ a few seconds left.

Yesterday they had trouble w/ Hillmon, today it appears to be Dodson (not Westbeld as I would've expected). Familiar face, grad transfer from Stanford.

What the heck? 5-21 shooting midway thru Q2. Trailing 25-16. Beavs should be better than this.

FYI ESPN stats are jacked up because they aren't including Mannen, who hit a shot.

18 points at halftime? What’s up with our scoring all of a sudden?

Possibly the worst offensive showing I've seen in a half by an Oregon State team. We're certainly not a top-25 team at this point in the season and not sure we're top-50 right now. Our offense has no flow and we don't really have players who can just go get a bucket like Aleah and Mik could when things weren't working. I could see this season following a similar trajectory to last season.
