In stretches the Beav's have started to show the team rebounding that the great teams have. The team aspect of the offense and defense is still a work in progress, but if KB, Greta, and Talia start again that's essentially three Frosh in experience learning college ball at the same time. Going to take a little bit of time. I’m very encouraged because I’ve seen steady improvement on defense through the first three games. Coach Rueck is impressed with Greta’s defense as shown by the fact that she started and had the most minutes in the last game. AJ’s defense looked very good to me last game too. He’s talked about the maturity, eagerness to learn, and quick-uptake of these frosh and I think they are clearly demonstrating it. I’m very anxious to see how they do in these upcoming games.

FYI
I downloaded FloHoops, and it seems to work just fine. It costs $29.99 per month, or $12.50 per month for a one year subscription. After the Villanova game, I imagine I'll just cancel it, but those of you who are devoted followers of the game might get more out of it. I didn't look at everything, but they have schedule screens for men, women, boys, and girls, so I assume they show high school age as well.

Or do you have to tape it at the time?

Miles joined Notre Dame last season as Talia did for the Beavs, and they were both arguably the two most productive early entries from High School last season. I don't think there's any debate. Those 2 were head and shoulders above any of the other early entrants. Most of the others had zero impact. Yes, after I posted that, I couldn't believe I wrote "arguably". They were the best early entries last year.

OK, you don't need to tape it. They keep it in their 'live feed' for 24 hours, then it goes in their archives, which you can access with your membership.

It's still November, so obviously Rueck and the Beavs have a lot to figure out... Right now the thing that causes me the most concern for this team is that, with the exception of Talia, no one (at this stage of the season) can attack the basket off the dribble in the half-court offense. Right now we are dependent on good screens and crisp passing to get good shots - which is great....But when that breaks down - as it will against good defensive teams - the Beavs will find themselves having lots of trouble trying to score.... We'll see how they do Friday and Saturday. But keep an eye out for this issue. It's no small matter with Rueck teams. He recruits great players but rarely those who "attack" off the dribble. Some learn to do it while at OSU - Pivec and Goodman are excellent examples of players who were very limited at this when they arrived and very good when they left. On the other hand, Corsdale has improved minimally in her time at OSU. Codding and Mack and Brown are all weak (very weak) at attacking off the dribble. The jury is still out on Greta and AJ. In my view it's a serious limitation within our offense. At any rate, I'm eager for these two games and I'm really hoping for two wins. How great would that be!!!🏀😎 AJ can get her shot anytime she wants off the dribble completely disagree.

Here's the link for LIVE STATS once the game starts, but as noted the Notre Dame vs. Georgia game is running very late so the Beavs will not tip off until after 4 pm.

UM gameplan is to play us tight on D.
It's working. They've forced turnovers from Greta and Talia.
