Buffs had a chance to fold, but they came thru down the stretch.
Pac 12 has 2 in the Sweet 16 (so far, UCLA is in good shape). Utah and Colorado being the 2...who woulda predicted that a year or two ago?

Good grief, UCLA has blown an 18 point lead. Not good.

Miami led almost the whole way. A couple ties late, but they never trailed. They're not really that small. Pendande (remember her from Utah) played most of the way, she's 6-4. They had 6-4 Spearman and 6-6 Oldacre play off the bench. They do have some smallish guards, but Harden is 6-0 and built like a Mack truck. Indiana isn't really much bigger. In fact smaller in the post, but they have more length on the perimeter. Pendande was the only big a lot of the time though along with Harden, and the Cavinder twins play a lot together, both at 5’6”. Meanwhile Indiana has Garzon out on the perimeter at 6”3”, along with Berger annd Parish, both at or over 6’ also. And Holmes may be only 6’3”, but she plays the post like she’s 6’5”.

UCLA struggling currently, it's a tight game now, that OK coach scares me, always mad, barks at her players.

UCLA had a disastrous 3rd quarter, but looks like they recovered and will advance.

UCLA pulls it off. They really are a nice mix of experience and fantastic young talent. I really like Jaquez' game, smart player that plays bigger than she's listed.
Really did NOT like how this game was called - they predicted fouls with the whistle that often never happened -- both ways. And they bought every flop. Was that a Pac-12 staff?

Not going to lie, it was nice to see Vonleh get the best of Brown down the stretch. Brown has 0 points (0-2 FG), 3 rebounds, 4 turnovers, 4 fouls, and 2 blocks with 37 seconds left. Brown had a number of open looks in crunch time. She passed up every one.

I think they are pac12 refs. Barlow's crew was the ones for Stanford.

For about the billionth time, there’s no such thing as a Pac12 basketball ref. D1 refs are independent contractors with no conference affiliation. Often reffing 4-5 games a week in multiple conferences.

Would it make you feel better if we started saying the officials the pac 12 uses?
It is a finite group hired by the western conference consortium or something like that. They represent the 6 conferences on the west coast. Interesting that if you type in pac-12 referees all kinds of links come up so while technically they aren't exclusively pac-12 they do work pac-12 games. Ultimately the money they are paid comes from the schools, it just goes through wcc.

That game looked like it was called very differently than games played in other regions.
