Finally, we are almost there. The exhibition game is less than 24 hours away. Anybody willing to write the post game story before the game is played?
What was the final score? Who were the starters? Who led the team in scoring? Who led the team in rebounding? How was playing time divided? How many fans were in the stand? What positives did you come away with? Were there any points of concern? Did anyone leave the impression that this was going to be their season? Other post game thoughts or big moments worth mentioning?

The procedure for gaining entrance into the building sucked.

I’m not going to engage in much speculation, but I will be happy to give some post-game thoughts and also plan to post at least a little video for people who could not attend. My money would be Kennedy, Taylor, Taya, Greta and Talia as the starters and that you’ll see these ladies come out and show much more dominance than the men did in their exhibition. That’s where my speculation ends.

I hope to see all 12 players available play.
Starters will probably be Taylor, Kennedy, Taya, Greta, and Talia as mentioned above.
Jalena will be heathy and much improved.
AJ will be a surprise.
Jo will also be healthy and playing above the level she showed at wsu.
Ellie will share the 3 with Taya.
Emily and Teá will show that they can play at this level.
Noelle will make at least one 3

Beavsteve, any video would be welcome, killing me that I can't go down and use my season ticket and there is no streaming or radio , at least this game. I agree with believeinthebeavs for most of his prognostications. I didn't think Greta would start originally even though I love her game but now I do. My memory is that SR likes to start who he thinks will be the long term starters right off the bat. Then prove himself right or wrong that he picked well. Other coaches seem to experiment more than he does in preseason. I am always surprised when we play lesser teams that he doesn't experiment more but it seems he wants to get lots of playing time for the probable starters.
..but I'm old and maybe my memory is totally wrong !

So, I am really cool with the fact that the Oregon Ducks are live streaming their exhibition game on Saturday, Nov6, but the OSU Beavers are not. In fact, OSU apparently won't even cover the game on the radio. How cool is that!!? This is a super way to bring fans aboard the Beaver express.

If you aren't trying to sell your product you are losing.

If you aren't trying to sell your product you are losing. I consider myself a pretty passionate OSU WBB fan. I think my posts here would bear that out. But I just can't get that worked up over a non-counting exhibition. Speaking only for myself, you understand. Looking forward to the first real game - and the season with much anticipation.

SR definitely isn't afraid to start freshman. He's done it often. He also will go with veterans when he isn't sure. Taya and Mik are examples of two freshman who had to wait a few games before they became starters. I'm still sticking with my earlier prediction that SR does not start two freshman guards in this game......but I'm hoping I'm wrong. If he starts two freshman, that means he is pretty confident in their abilities right off the bat, while there are two pretty good experienced guards, fifth year seniors, Tea and Emily, whom are both solid basketball players, battling for minutes as well.

He started 2 freshmen as front court players with Kennedy and Taylor, so I don't think he'll be reluctant to start 2 in the backcourt. Talia is more like a sophman or freshomore anyway, and Greta was a McDonald's All American. Presumably, her basic prowess is greater than Tea's, but she doesn't have the D1 experience. I think Scott will give her the opportunity to gain it as a starter. If she struggles initially, he can easily change that and bring her in off the bench for a while. I'm sure he discusses such things with all the players.
One other thing. I'm sure the staff, while trying as always to get the most out of this year, is also keeping one eye looking toward next year. They have a chance to come into that year with 4 experienced players (Taylor, Kennedy, Talia, and Greta) holding down 4 of the starting spots. They're going to want to get Greta as much experience as they can this year, including as a starter.

I think a number of other folks on this board did too. No, I would not have been "worked up" if I had missed these games too, but they sure were fun to watch! Same would be true on Saturday if I could see the exhibition game.

One thing I haven't seen discussed, and maybe it needs it's own thread.
With the changes on staff:
Are there changes to game plans? O or D sets and philosophies? Substitution patterns? Thoughts?
