Don’t know if any of y’all ever spent a summer in Corvallis, but downstairs at Squirrels is about as fu$&ing hippy as it gets in the Willamette Valley. And I did time in Corvallis and Eugene!
Not to mention all the Subaru drivers.
Also, went to SOSC for a spell in the 90’s. Corvallis is WAY hippier than Ashland.
Roadsnacks has it right. You’re welcome.

I always loved Corvallis, and OSU because it had a good mix. It didn't seem like a full on liberal, hippie fest. I've heard it's gotten more liberal since my days there, but more liberal than Eugene? The thought of that makes me sad, and question the validity of the list. I also find it hard to believe that Woodburn is more liberal than Ashland.... Sidenote....I was born in the least liberal town in Oregon! Baker! It's Baker to me, not Baker City... Is this a thing? Are 18 year old kids choosing where they go to college based on politics? I went to Oregon State because I loved the Beavers. Moved to SDSU because I loved the weather and you know, the girls. At no moment did I ever contemplate liberals or conservatives. I really didn't give a f%#*. How sad that our youth have been jaded by their parents and media and bias that it impacts their college choice.

Posters compare covid shots to wearing a seatbelt to protect yourself. Its the wrong analogy. Laws against Drunk driving are more relevant. If you drink and drive you hurt yourself and injure and kill other innocent people. If you drink and drive you CAN hurt or kill youself and others. You are also more likely to hurt or kill yourself and others than those who aren't driving drunk (unless they are driving super tired, that's a whole 'nuther thing). Same thing with vaccines. If you don't vaccinate you are more likely to get sick of covid, die of covid, create a new more virulent mutation of covid, or pass covid to others than those who do vaccinate. These are to a degree quite similar things. One has laws regarding it, the other doesn't, yet.

Edit: I left out those who don't vaccinate are far more likely to be hospitalized than those who are vaccinated. That comes with a high social cost. If hospitals are loaded to the gills with covid patients, that can potentially tie up treatment to help the people who've been hit by drunk drivers or have other medical needs.

I just didn't want something like Berkeley, know what I mean? I knew I was going to study science and I always liked OSU's land grant status....known for forestry, engineering, etc.. I find it sad that kids go to college and lose their roots. I know I almost did. The lure of the left is intoxicating......but then you get out into the real world.

No sympathy for Farmhouse; way back they were telling rushies that my house was closing. Guess who owns their old house now!

I think a certain political party with have many fewer voters in November 2022. That is pretty funny. Blacks and Hispanics are vastly over represented in the unvaccinated. You’re saying that’s Trumps base? Source?

Bottom line if the wazoo coach takes this stand opposing coaches after the game should simply wave from across the field and head to the reporters to talk about the win.

Not only independent acting , but contributing to the best things in an orderly society - as opposed to generating fear and chaos that appeals to those lacking an education and critical thinking skills !
