Fort Worth is a "backwater?" Man, that's rich. We had Greg Street in Corvallis in 2017, when we were the top national seed. We had Greg Street at the College World Series. Were those two tournaments "backwater?" That's even richer. Umps with inconsistent strike zones are the norm in college baseball. It needs the automated strike zone far more than MLB does. We're just gonna disagree if you're gonna describe a season where we reach a regional final, with the injuries and dearth of veteran talent this team has, as "lost." Anyone watching college baseball and MLB will appreciate just how good MLB umpires are. Just say “no” to the electronic strike zone. Bringing in technology that can be manipulated like voting machines and internet search engines introduces another set of problems. As fallible as college umpires are, leave that alone. That's why we need the whole country to be mail-in voting. No more stupid machines. LOLOLOL! There's always someone or something for the losing side to blame. The goal, at least in baseball, is to get the most accuracy consistently. This could easily be accomplished by technology at a higher rate than the ump behind the plate. I think the ump would still be needed to make other calls at the plate (foul tip, swing or not, safe at home, balks, etc.) but the business of strikes and balls could be automated to great effect. There is a valuable argument, though, that baseball doesn't need to be a game of precision, that the umpiring miscues are just part of the game. And I sort of like that argument. But then one wonders why we need replay and reviews. Let the call on the field stand.

I’m not sure what that means, but I really don't care. Anyone with any sense or experience in writing code should know any computer can be programmed to control output. And yes, that would include voting machines. If you don't think output can be controlled, go search the same subject on multiple internet search engines. Now, the subject of this board is baseball and the issue of using an electronic strike zone was brought up. Does anyone really think the operation of an electronic strike zone couldn’t be coded to force one team to pitch into a coffee can and allow the other to pitch into an oil drum? And even change the size and location of the zone during a game? I guarantee this is possible.

Then those sensible people might wonder why you have to get your little digs in everywhere you go when there are so many media platforms to indulge in political discussions to your hearts desire.

I'm not a ref or a teacher who penalizes the reaction when it's the initial foul that should've been called.

The sky is blue. Your move, Henri.

Henri played for the Montreal Canadiens. Henry played for the Westish College Harpooners. Enough with the passive/aggressive schtick.
